This is the first SLAM for me and so far everything TFP has been telling me is spot on. I suspect the first time I did the OCLT I was actually borderline for 1.0 change and the algae just kept building. I have my fingers crossed!

Another option is peppermint. My pool deck seems to attract bees but this year I set out three peppermint plants in containers and the bees have definitely been reduced. Just be careful if you plant it in the ground as it tends to grow quickly although it is not as invasive as mint.

Ran the CYA test with 1/2 tab 1/2 pool and it came out to 50 without doubling (with it dripping all over the place) so I would say that 100 is accurate.
