    Pool Leak

There is a diverter valve on the pressure side that splits the flow between the wall returns and the floor returns. Right now all the flow is being directed to the floor with the wall returns completely shut off at the valve as well as plugged at the outlet.

    Pool Leak

Hi Everyone! Since opening my pool over Memorial Weekend, the pool has been losing about a 1/4" of water per day. I assumed it was not from evaporation but I did the bucket test anyway, which confirmed I have a leak. The loss of salt after adding about 3" of water further confirms my leak. I...

    Calcium hardness

Ok. I checked the csi. I’m at -0.02 right now. So I guess I’m ok for now. I’ll have to keep a close eye on my ph as that has a tendency to rise and will take my csi out of range. Thanks for the feedback.

    Calcium hardness

Hello everyone! Yesterday I asked my daughter to test the pool chemistry. She said the calcium was at 250. I was a little surprised how low it was but the pool has been out of commission for about three or four weeks due to a pump failure and the chemistry wasn't being tested during that time...

    Plumbing question

Yeah that's a good point and I thought about that too. It's reassuring to hear that adding a couple extra 90s won't be that big of a deal. I might just do what you suggest. Thanks for everyone's input. Really appreciate it.

    Plumbing question

Hi All! I recently bought a new pump to replace the one that failed. In the process of installing it, I needed to reconfigure some of the plumbing. I've read that ideally the inlet and outlet pipe length should be at least a 5x the diameter of the pipe. In my case 10". How critical is this rule...

    Need New Pump...very confused

Thanks for your post. I have been researching pumps all day since mine failed yesterday (don't tell my boss!) and a VS pump is definitley what I am planning on getting. My original post seems moot now as I just came across Inyopool's Pureline Prime 270 pump that looks interesting (it has 2”...

    Need New Pump...very confused

Hi, I bought my home back in 2014 and it came with a pool. I would not have been able to maintain the pool on my own if it weren't for the information and advice members on this forum have posted. So thank you very much! Yesterday afternoon, something went quite wrong and the pump died. The...

    IntellipH issues

Update: problem solved. Was able to determine that it's a molex type connector, ordered some molex crimp pins, took apart the connector on the wire, swapped out the male for the female pins, reassembled and got new shrink tubing. Acid feeder is working perfectly. Cost about $10 to fix and Amazon...

    IntellipH issues

Thanks for the replay. I actually tested the unit after install and it worked. So I never realized or even thought to check that the connectors matched up. I mean who would? Anyway, it was probably working up until we went on vacation. The two weeks leading up to our vacation the pH was hovering...

    IntellipH issues

Hi, I recently installed a Pentair IntellipH. My troubles started immediately. I ordered the unit from Amazon. Got it in two days and was ready to install it but found that the controller was missing the plug to connect to the pump. Amazon is awesome and sent me a new unit. Two days later, I do...
