    Borates testing and other

I did a search and didn’t see an answer. I may have just missed it, so I apologize if this information is readily available and I just didn’t see it. I tested my water for the first time....it’s been a crazy few days since getting the pool filled and am just now getting to it. Cl was zero...

    adding a fountain

There are a ton of YouTube videos on this. Most of them use a 24” section of tubing with holes drilled in a row for the fountain. I’m considering expanding out to a 3” or 4” fitting with several holes in it for my fountain. I’m going to use the original pump for mine as well, I bought a much...

    Testing kit question

Thanks for the input everyone. Ordered the TF100 and added on the magnetic stirrer. After watching the vids they have on YouTube the stirrer looked like it would be a real nice to have kind of item.

    My 12x24x52 intex build thread.

I’m about to put in the same pool. You said your pavers were pretty close to the edge of the supports. How far apart would you recommend putting the pavers apart to have more pavers under the leg?

Above or below seam.....what is the concenus

Has anyone moved the skimmer someplace other than the stock side? Has anyone put it opposite the the return from the filter so that you are pushing water to the skimmer? I would think with hard piping this wouldn't be too big of a deal.

Take down the Intex or leave up

I'm in north central Texas. My ultra 16x48 has been up for going on 5 years without taking it down. I also continue to run the filter a few hours a day unless it's going to be well below freezing. If it's going to be well below freezing I will isolate and drain the pump. Never had any issues...

    Census Poll on Intex Users

I've had the same intex ultra 16x48 for 4 or 5 years. It's starting to get a little rust on it but think I have another year or two out of it. I am planning on going back with another intex, most likely one of the rectangular ones.

Wow!! An $11,000 Intex (type) Pool build...what were we thinking?!

Awesome looking project. I've good luck with our intex pool. This will be our 4th season with it and so far no signs of deterioration. I would like to go with one of the rectangular pools at some point and sink it like you did.

    The new pool arrives tomorrow

Looks good there neighbor. I'm over in Fort Worth. I've had my 16 foot intex up for 3 seasons and its doing good. No rust splits or holes. I think the 12 foot rectangular one will be my next one.
