I know this probably sounds like a dumb question, but how do I know if have a bottom drain or not? Haven't been dealing with pools that long.

Thanks, that's sort of what I thought. One more question. Do I need to wait until the water level is at or above the skimmer before starting the slam?

Have decided to go ahead and open my pool. Does anyone know of a tool that can be used to help pull the cover off. Really had difficulty putting the cover on when we closed. Cover kept falling in the water with 4 of us trying to get it covered, I will admit, it was our first ever closing.

OK folks, here is the latest. I have now dumped 6 gallons of bleach into my pool (2 gallons every 2 hours). I have ran 3 different FAS/DPD tests (1 in between each cycle). Each test had a FC of 1 and a CC of 1. Not sure why i am not getting a better reading by now. I have swept, brushed...
