    More Patience???

Thanks...I was wondering about the CYA being so low if that could have any effect on the slam.....I've got 2 gallons of stabilizer coming today. So I'll just continue the slam for another couple of days after adding the stabilizer.

    More Patience???

Do I need to be more patient and let the sand filter do its job? I have never had the problem trying to clear up my water as I do right now. I've deep cleaned the sand filter, added 100 pounds of sand and have been slamming for the past 3 days. Brushing 2 time a day and running my robotic...

    6 day vacation coming... recommendations?

I'm not sure if others would agree but when I go away I increase my pump run time from 7hrs to 10hrs and also increase my salt generator from 35% to 55%. Typically my FC will raise during this period.

    Fiberglass Pool Build Southeast PA

I have my timer set to run the pump twice a day for a total of 10 hours. I have the salt output set to 40% but during the hottest times I'll bump it up 50%. When the system shows the salt cell needs cleaning, which is based on run hours programmed into the unit, I plug 1 end and fill with...

    Fiberglass Pool Build Southeast PA

We have zero regrets...except not doing it sooner...haha... The best investment so far has been the TF-100 kit. I also learned this past year that I need to remove the underwater lights and clean behind them early in the season after the water is balanced.....I had algae hiding there this...

Closing with water temp above 60f

I'm further up north in Maryland. My pool has been staying around mid 60's for about the past 6 weeks. About the first of Oct, when leaves started falling I made sure my pool was balanced then brought it up to shock level. I brushed and put cover on. I have been running the filter and swg, but...

Algae again - no clue where to go from here....

Have you pulled out the lights and checked behind them? I had algae return a couple of weeks after a slam and when I removed my light I was amazed at what I found hiding behind...... Dave

What did you do to your pool today?

Cut grass then jumped in the pool to cool off. While I was in I decided to remove my light. WOW cleaned the algae.....never did this before....this is my 2nd year with the pool so I'm guessing I'll clean behind the light every spring once the pool is balanced dave

    My plan...Thoughts and opinions please

So my last post was a question about why my numbers where different then a store’s numbers. So I've decided to put 100% trust in the TF100 kit I purchased a couple of weeks ago, with speed stir, and follow the directions... while keeping a log. My pool is a 14000 fiberglass with a SWG and sand...

    Difference bewteen TF100 and Store??

I will always have mixed feelings about any stores because ultimately their goal is to sell me a chemical, that’s the main reason I bought the TF100. The latest store results were on a WaterLink Datamate 10 by LaMotte, whatever kind of test that is I do not know. The person took my sample...

    Difference bewteen TF100 and Store??

I have a question as to why readings with the tf-1oo kit are off compared to a local store. I had my pool installed last fall and basically closed almost immediately. The builder returns and opened the pool mid April. The water was clear over the winter. I was not home at the time but my wife...

    Newbie robotic question??

I liked the fact that the PB never tried selling an automatic cleaner from the start…and when I asked about them his answer was “try without you can always buy on later”…. But in the short time the pool has been complete the whole manual vacuuming has been a pain…the dirt and worms from after a...

    Newbie robotic question??

I never thought about a trial. I guess i'll have to ask. When I bought the pool the company salesman talked me out of a cleaner.....
