When to replace and where to buy Jandy CL 460 Filters

I've found Optimum Pool Technologies to be great USA made filters. I purchased 4 CL460 filters last year for $170 but just checked and now they're only $150 from the link below. https://poolguysupply.com/products/opt-460-4pk?_pos=1&_sid=84116a662&_ss=r

    Mysterious going ons

Do you not have a main drain or if so was it possibly valved off? Not all pools have them but to me this is one good reason to have them. The skimmers can be 100% blocked (or valved off) but the pump can still get flow from the drain.

New guy with pool install issues and whos done with the store suggestions

I feel ya Dank. Probability says you're likely a guy because 1 in 12 suffer from some form of colored blindness while only 1 in 200 women do the same. You'll need to test chlorine and pH most often. Chlorine is easy in that you're adding and counting drops until pink turns totally clear. pH...

New Pool Owner- test kit recommendations

I bought the Taylor 2006C Salt first and later bought the TF Pro Salt which includes a Speed stir. TF Pro Salt is the way to go. Speed stir is a must with either but not included with 2006C. The only thing I prefer in the 2006C kit is the pH comparator.

Aqua pure 1400 high salt reading

Thanks Maddie. I’m leaning towards that plan too. I already added 40 lbs today and will recheck things tomorrow. After raising to 3000 ppm, If I get any error messages from AquaPure about high salt maybe look into the calibration procedure.

Aqua pure 1400 high salt reading

I know that these things are notoriously incorrect at reading salinity levels. Just looking for advice here. TF Pro consistently measures 2600 ppm while AquaPure measures 3400 ppm. No warning LEDs and chlorine production is working fine (only on 20% at the moment). AquaPure says salinity should...

    CYA confusion

Here’s a comparison chart I made that compares the accuracy of Leslie’s testing vs one of the test kits recommended here at TFP. Keep in mind this is the best case scenario too. Add in the variability of different employees who do not give a hoot, and it’s even worse. Take charge of your testing...

Thanks everyone! All of the lighting shown here with the exception of the in-pool LEDs were DIY’d and purchased at either Lowe’s, Home Depot or Costco. I also found a cool 2-zone, smart transformer on Amazon that controls the flood and spot lights around the pool. With this we use Alexa for...
