I have the whole pump but the front is leaking (tried fixing it multipel times). Figured someone whos single speed motor crapped out might want a relatively new (2 yo) mtor vs shelling out a couple grand for a new VS pump (like I just had to do)

We just replaced our main single speed pool pump with a variable speed pump due to a leak we could not fix between the motor housing and the main pump. The pump is a 2004 Jandy Stealth 2 HP. Think the Tristar VS 900 is enough for a salt system on a 13000 gal pool? Current pump is 2HP single speed. Would I run vs all day vs the 8-10nhrs I run single speed?

Where do you get the shielded cable? And how does the connection work since the terminal block is wires vs a connector

Thanks. I was trying to make sure that when I push a button on the remote controller it doesn't affect the pump directly since they woudl be tied together. I.e its the same thing as tying the black and yellow wires from the controller to the black wire on the pump controller. Guess Im not sure...

Awesome. Thanks. As mentioned I am pre Prologic, Aqualogic running 2.66 so do not have removable connection blocks, so guess its remove wires manually. I just went out and see the Variable speed option on filter config. So thats cool. Guess it only works with Hayward pumps tho? No chance working...
