New EVO 614i Robot Pool Cleaner Review

I tried a Wybot M1 Ultra from kickstarter. Now it was a disaster in many ways, but it had no trouble getting the acorns and filling up the basket.

New EVO 614i Robot Pool Cleaner Review

After speaking with Margaret at Marina I'm thinking of getting the 614iQ, but I'm concerned about the size of the basket. We have a red oak that drops an absurd amount of acorns and leaves in the fall and the spring and the pictures I can find make the basked seem rather small and angled as...

    RJ45 turning off

Thanks that's helpful. It's wired to my Intex but currently always on similar to my new vsp.

    RJ45 turning off

Maybe it's cycling. Still going now. But salinity now (not the average) shows 2820. Which is an interesting continual drop from when I power cycled. Would be nice if there was a indication it was in the middle of a duty cycle.

    RJ45 turning off

I believe it was showing volts but no amps. And no gas. When I cycle power it restarts and produces gas. I did notice this last time that the salinity now reading started at 3400 and over a couple minutes time went down to 3000. It's been about 10 minutes and I just checked again and still...

    RJ45 turning off

It was 50% then I switched to 25%. Do you recall if there's a light for duty cycle? The generate light was on. No other lights

    RJ45 turning off

So I've just converted over to swg and had an RJ45+ installed (need to update signature). I waited 24 hours after adding initial salt and was reading 3400 using the 1766 kit. New vsp pump running 24/7. The swg was generating first day with no issues. Second day I've noticed twice now that the...

    Hayward W3AQR15 v. Circupool RJ-45 plus

That rationale makes sense. I ended up ordering Rj-45 the other day.

Do I need a new salt cell? Pool dummy.

Why don't cells last as long in Texas?

Do I need CircuPool Vertical Installation Kit?

I'm about to order an RJ45 and will have a local pool guy do the install, but I was hoping y'all could comment on whether there's enough pipe there to install it horizontally or if I need to order the vertical installation kit at the same time I order the RJ45. I think part of my confusion...

    Hayward W3AQR15 v. Circupool RJ-45 plus

I doubt it as he wasn't directing me to any place in particular to get it.

    Hayward W3AQR15 v. Circupool RJ-45 plus

Everything I've seen here has been pretty positive re: Circupool so it was a little surprising to hear that from him. Then again, it seems like Hayward is also pretty positive. It's tough when there are so many options out there.

    Hayward W3AQR15 v. Circupool RJ-45 plus

So I'm getting ready to make the switch to SWG and would appreciate thoughts on the above 2 SWGs. I've been planning on going with a 3 HP CaliMar VSP and the RJ-45, but in the process of getting quotes to have both installed I spoke with a guy who said he's had lots of customers have issues...

Pump upgrade for SWG and add robot?

If it gave me extra peace for the three years I wouldn't be grumpy. Hopefully they last longer but I'm not going to let the possibility something goes wrong keep me from moving forward.

Pump upgrade for SWG and add robot?

I get all the talk about trees. And if I was designing a pool from scratch it'd be no where near trees. But we've got a mature ash and oak and they're not going anywhere so I need to find another solution. I'm on board with getting a VSP. Do y'all have any specific recommendations? Especially...

Pump upgrade for SWG and add robot?

Hi everyone. My wife and I bought a home with a pool (our first) late last year. I found TFP and have appreciated all the great info. I quickly switched to LC because our CYA was out of control. We've got a 15k pool with a backyard that drops an insane amount of leaves, which has been a constant...
