Yeah we have a short season and we don't have a heater on it yet. Probably at least 2+ weeks before it's warm enough to comfortably swim and September long weekend is usually when it gets cool again. Temp is 70f right now.

Thinking more about it now, maybe I should build a plywood box (without a bottom) and put it over the Prologic. That way, it protects the panel from the elements, but will not trap moisture and allow air to circulate.

Is the pillow/floats just for being able to clear the cover off easier? I saw something about the ice expansion and the pillow/floats acting as some sort of buffer?

My foam does not compress when walking on it, but I made my base solid and put compacted crusher fines underneath. Everything was nice and level before putting the foam down.

I used 3/4" tongue and groove and placed it directly on my gravel base. I think we did 2 layers of tuck tape (vapor barrier tape) and 2 layers of duct tape, something like that. We also did gorilla pad on top of the foam. If I built another pool tomorrow I would 100% do it the exact same way...

OK, and your pool has about 70% more water than mine, so I guess it makes sense that my FC is pretty high even at 15% and my wife and I swimming at least EOD.

We have the pump to run (on low) for 8 hours overnight and as of now, I have the T-CELL-15 down to 15% and still measuring FC around 6ppm each night. Not sure if I should turn it up and run pump less, though I do feel like the water is getting a better clean.

If the bubble is slightly off, on the same side, every time you measure, you can end up quite about out once you make it all the way around. It can work, but if you want to be sure, water level or transit level are the way to go.

Thanks for the support! We definetely spent much more time and money than one needs to, but like I keep saying, "do it right, do it once". I've been concerned about the ground moving so I wanted to do whatever I could to try and prevent that.

I have another post to the right of the equipment pad that was strategically placed in preparation for our deck next year. I might add another outlet to the side of the Prologic, depending what type of cover/shelter I build around or over it, and if I want to pull another permit.
