    Leaking around handle

I “think” I have a Hayward s224t filter. I am losing water out of the top of the valve. It starts in the valve grooves slowly (rinse, backwash, recirculate, all of them evenly) and then spills out and just continues to leak. I thought about buying the whole assembly, but thought it could just...

    Solar blanket vs. solar panel

Ok, next question. I think from everything I read on here, get a 16 mil. As for solar panels. What is the best brand wise. All things considering.

    Solar blanket vs. solar panel

If you could only pick one, what would it be? Pool gets full sun all day, 8am-7pm this time of year. And gets used a lot, so taking the cover on and off everyday would suck. I need to do some thing though. Our night are in the low 70's now : (

    Solar blanket vs. solar panel

UGGGHHH. Terrible answer. Nah just kidding :-D Makes sense, I was hoping to get by though. The pool is 33' with a slide and I was hoping to avoid covers, except a winter one. Is one just as effective as the other in raising temps? In terms of per day.

    Solar blanket vs. solar panel

My main issue is prolonging my swimming season as long as I can. I was going to buy a solar cover and build a reel and all that, but then thought a solar panel would be just as cheap. Is there an advantage to one over the other in terms of heating? Pump run time is a non issue. Thanks. Jonathan

    Frustrated By My Cloudy Pool

I did the deep end/shallow end. And couldn't ask for anything else, but deeper. When we replace the lumber, we will go deeper. Hopefully that is in 2022 though.

    Frustrated By My Cloudy Pool

8' :hammer: but seriously. Knowing what I know now, I would have went to 7' minimum and I have the 72" also. We didn't even stretch it into place. There was so much liner, and it was hot mind you, it fit the hole with 2' overlap, without stretching. Just laying it in there. But it has a bunch...

    AGP bottom rim(rail) replacement

Do you have a picture of the top caps too?

    AGP bottom rim(rail) replacement

I think I have your bottom rail. THe pool looks like a doughboy blue mountain I think it is called. If you could take better pictures of the pool I could let you know. I have some that I bought for a pool and the pool itself was far more rusted, so I have the bottom rails. I can take a picture...

    Oh... to do... to do...

A lot of factors come into play, but I'm sure the more educated brethren here can help you out. $$ per kw of your area Size and make of pump Filter size in relation to pool size and pump size Hr of pump use per day Hr of Pool use per day (ie. chemicals) Someone can make an educated guess I'm...

    Oh... to do... to do...

If I were to do it all over again, and the deck was just finished on mine yesterday, I would go with as big as you can afford. We have a 33' and it is big enough, but not by much. My suggestion, and take it for what it is worth, would be this: 1) Buy a pool online new, 33' or 30', whatever...

One fool's (+ others) method for doing a round AGP deep end

Re: One fool's (+ others) method for doing a round AGP deep The water is nice and clear though and the deep end looks great and has paid dividends. If I could offer one suggestion to anyone, it would be to go with the deepend. I do have some wrinkles, but they are worth it for the extra 2' of...

One fool's (+ others) method for doing a round AGP deep end

Re: One fool's (+ others) method for doing a round AGP deep Yeah linen, it did get kind of big. I told the builder I wanted to do it, the day before he or someone else was going to start building, that I tried to cut it down in size so he could get the job. Because he was a little more...

One fool's (+ others) method for doing a round AGP deep end

Re: One fool's (+ others) method for doing a round AGP deep And after it is all said and done, with some serious rain storms that come through in the building process and after to pool was set up, the pool ended up off 7/8 of an inch in 2 different spots. I am not sure why it settled as...

One fool's (+ others) method for doing a round AGP deep end

Re: One fool's (+ others) method for doing a round AGP deep Pool is up and has been good for a few weeks and we finally got started on the deck build. Someone else is building the deck because, well, because I dont want to and it wouldnt be finished until next summer if I tried. But here are...

That would be cool. Where exactly does the cover install on a AGP? On the deck or to some eyelits on the underside of the deck? Just wondering as I have no idea.

    Deck building ideas

Hey Dave, that was the reason for the composite, so it could be removable. The pool deck will run perpendicular to the pool top rail, then a piece of composite would be layed on top of that make a 90 degrees piece of deckboard that could be screwed down and it would run parallel with the top...

    Deck building ideas

It is so I can change the liner out when necessary, not that that will happen for a while, and the pool was used, so I have to order some caps and get the rails powder coated to make it look decent. I originally thought about putting it under the top cap and still havent made my mind up. I...

So, I am in the process of building my deck. Well about to start. Wellll, someone else is about to start, I am paying for it : ) It is turning out to be very very expensive deck, which I dont know what I was hoping for trying to go all the way around it, but anyway, I am thinking about...
