    IC40 Diagnostics Question

Haha! Thanks for the Condolences, it does suck. I've been looking at prices since last season and I knew it would happen soon. I think I've been very fortunate, I think I've had 2 (maybe 3 tops?) cells in 15 years. Thanks again!

    IC40 Diagnostics Question

Hello! It's been awhile since I've hopped on here, but I use the Pool Calculator app alot! I've always appreciated TFP. I did search for this issue on google and this forum, but the search bots seem to want to talk about the salt level being low :) So here's my issue: I have a Pentair IC40 SWG...

UPDATE- Got new Ozone Generator- Bullfrog Spa leaking at Ozone Generator when power is Off

Thanks, ya'll. I had no idea it could take that long to lower TA. For some reason my old Hot Springs didn't seem to have high TA issues, but now I know I have some work to do :) And Thanks for the info on the ozone, if I can keep it going I figure it would be good, as long as I get my chems...

UPDATE- Got new Ozone Generator- Bullfrog Spa leaking at Ozone Generator when power is Off

Excellent. I knew that lowering pH and aerating would drop the TA, but didn't realize you need to do it several cycles like that. Thanks again!

UPDATE- Got new Ozone Generator- Bullfrog Spa leaking at Ozone Generator when power is Off

OK thanks very much! Yep, I've seen the dichlor to chlorine post, I'll have to check it out again. And I'll have to see where I have my numbers, I may be way high on the TA, I'll check. Thanks again.

UPDATE- Got new Ozone Generator- Bullfrog Spa leaking at Ozone Generator when power is Off

Hey ya'll, if I should start a new thread please tell me, but this is related to the previous situation discussed in this thread. As I stated earlier, I got a new Bullfrog spa, and the ozonator crapped out. My LPB replaced it, but I'm thinking the new one may not be working now. My water was...

OK thanks, good points, I appreciate it and it does make sense to me.

UPDATE- Got new Ozone Generator- Bullfrog Spa leaking at Ozone Generator when power is Off

OK, so my LPB was able to come out and did apparently agree with the assessments in this thread that the Ozone Generator was bad in my new Bullfrog Spa. If you look at the first entry in this thread, you can see that they replaced it with a different brand. Is there any reason this would not be...

UPDATE- Got new Ozone Generator- Bullfrog Spa leaking at Ozone Generator when power is Off

Thanks! And I love the idea of drilling the hole and routing the discharge through there, I have noticed some water coming from there sometimes.

UPDATE- Got new Ozone Generator- Bullfrog Spa leaking at Ozone Generator when power is Off

Hello again, I had a thread earlier about the GFCI to my Bullfrog Spa tripping (it's a new spa), and I am still waiting for my LPB to check it out- not entirely their fault, I put them off due to sickness. At any rate, when the GFCI trips lately I've noticed that if it's off for any length of...

UPDATE: Incorrect Wiring? -- New Bullfrog Spa keeps tripping breaker

Yeah, I think 50 amp must be ok, I found this in the manual- 'Permanently-Connected 230V~/60Hz spas require a GFCI protected, 4-wire (Line 1, Line 2, Neutral and Ground), 230V~/60Hz, 50A, Single-Phase, dedicated electrical circuit.' Oh and it is maybe a 20' run at most, so hopefully we're good...

UPDATE: Incorrect Wiring? -- New Bullfrog Spa keeps tripping breaker

Okay, last night I went home and pulled the front cover off my spa. The heater and control board are housed in a big blue plastic box, with the 220V wiring coming directly into it. I took a picture of the hook-up, and it appears that the electrician may have switched the L1 and L2 wires? The...

Thanks. Yeah it's just the gfci, sorry, I interchange those terms in my head for some reason.

UPDATE: Incorrect Wiring? -- New Bullfrog Spa keeps tripping breaker

Yeah, I'll try that tonight if I can. The spa cycles through its pumps, heating, etc. all day (apparently Bullfrog even has the main pumps turn on periodically) and it doesn't trip during that process, but if I isolate it like you're saying maybe I can get an idea. Thanks!

UPDATE: Incorrect Wiring? -- New Bullfrog Spa keeps tripping breaker

Hello again. I have a question and I'm trying to avoid a service call by my LPB and also the electrician, if I can help it. We just got a new Bullfrog Spa in October. We purchased it from our LPB that we've used for years, and they had their recommended (contracted) electrician come and do the...

    Pool pump dying?

Hello! It has been awhile, but I have been lurking some and of course using the Pool Calculator regularly, so thanks again. My pool pump is squealing (or at least loudly whining) when it runs, and the last time this happened I got a call from my neighbor and replaced the pump motor, lol. It has...
