Sutro device, anyone know if it works?

I'm still using my sutro and compared to my Taylor kit the pH and Free Chlorine are usually dead on but the Alkalinity mostly reads way high and I just ignore it. I've messaged tech support in the past about this issue and they seem to fix it on their end and then eventually the alkalinity is...

    Any Experience with Sutro?

No way... they booted you? I'm still a member there.... although I like the Sutro, before I get too crazy with adjustments I always test with my Taylor Kit... No I need to go back to see which user you were.... lol...

    Any Experience with Sutro?

Huh... Never had to wait for 15 minutes when changing a cartridge. It takes less than 15 minutes for the entire process and that includes going in the house to get the freshly charged battery and new cartridge and throwing the old one in the trash.

    Kickstarter robot FYI

Seems there's more scams on Facebook than legitimate ads and I don't have the patience for a kickstarter.... hard pass for me.

    New cleaner questions

Thanks... I guess maybe I'll try the vacuum (haven't used it yet) that came with the pool and do some brushing this weekend. I'm wanting to buy a robot but I need to be able to justify it to the wife a little... lol... The Polaris 280 doesn't get on top of the swimouts or sunshelf so I'm...

    New cleaner questions

I'm on the fence about getting the Alpha IQ+ but went to Leslies and the girl told me I would still have to brush the pool so I thought well... what's the point exactly? The polaris 280 I have seems to work good and I have no trees near the pool so no leaves or acorns to worry about.... so do...

    DE vs cartridge filter?

My previous pool was DE and at the time loved it because of the sparkling water but now have DE and have the same sparking water and no backwashing... I'd do cartridge.

    Insane Inflation

Yup... it is definitely insane... I'm a commercial electrical contractor so for example 4" SCH 40 PVC in January of 2020 cost us 140.37 per hundred feet and today it costs $829.00 per hundred feet. 1" SCH 40 was 25.39 per hundred and now it's 142.88 per hundred. Sad thing is that I don't see...

Jandy Lights Cycle each time to get to new color

....and it still appears to function this way... how annoying. I also have the issue where the pool spa and sheer decent lights come on every time I turn on the pool lights even though I have three pool lights on one relay, spa light on another, center sheer decent on another and the left and...

Sutro device, anyone know if it works?

I like it... It definitely doesn't replace manual water testing BUT for a new pool for me it's convenient. I can check the pool while away from home and turn on the stenner pump to lower the ph or adjust my chlorine with the iaqualink web interface. I still do manually check my pool but for...

    Aluminum or steel fence prices

Our codes here in Cherokee County, GA changed to 5FT too. We had a 4FT fence existing (built by the previous owners) and had to pay to tear it down and then pay for 410FT of new 5FT fence...

Why is "Acceptable" CH range only 150-250ppm for Pebblesheen?

My pool finished around Thanksgiving 2021 and I'm trying to stay with the "Acceptable Ongoing Maintenance Range" for my pebblesheen but with the range of CH being 150-250 I find it impossible to keep the LSI/CSI at or near zero... Does anyone know WHY the top end of the CH range is only 250...

Stenner Acid Pump up and running

Does anyone see an issue with pumping the acid into the sheer decent plumping instead of the filter plumbing? If plumbed to the filter pump and the pool goes into spa mode while the stenner is active no water will be flowing into the pool. Seems it might be easier just to use the sheer decent...

Stenner Acid Pump up and running

Did you put your stenner relay in series with the pump relay so you can be sure that the acid pump never comes on without the pump? This is why I got the 220V I'll come off the load side of the pump relay to the line side of the stenner relay and then from the load side of the stenner relay to...

Stenner Acid Pump up and running

Nice... I just pulled the trigger and got the same one as you except 220V. I did research all of this about 3 months prior to the pool being finished (finished at Thanksgiving) and the pb said 'no... you don't need that' but I'm tired of pouring the acid in every day or every other day already...
