Here are some pictures from my install. The HVAC connections, including the 3 way valve, and one of the T connections that contains the additional solenoid and restrictor, are all located inside the HVAC unit itself, following the 2nd diagram in the post above. This install only has 1 new copper...

The very large 230v -> 24v transformer sits in the top left of my AC cabinet, with the fan relay on the top right. The transformer, relay, and both solenoids were all wired together in this cabinet so that only a 5 wire thermostat wire goes out and over to the FPH controller.

The 3 way valve sits in between the compressor and condenser. On the upper right of the picture, a line comes from the condenser's discharge through a solenoid and restrictor, then back around to the suction line.

A single line comes out of the AC above, to the FPH, then back over to the liquid line and into the house.
