Yes you are correct, and we're not happy with all the recent shenanigan's that we have been enduring,

How long is it really taking?

Signed contract in July of 2020, and broke ground in August 2020 for a gunite pool in Clearwater, FL. Filled with water sometime in March of 2021, and still have yet complete an outdoor kitchen that was included in our build quote. Pool builder originally quoted us three months from start to...

We're doing this again! Orlando OB Take 2 -PLASTERED! 6/1

Wow that's impressive at only 82 days. I'm just shy of eleven months with my PB, and over it at this point. If I had known I would be here and still waiting on my build to be completed I would have done an owner build myself. Especially the amount of time I have spent "managing" my PB.

    Marina Supply - Response Time

I recently ordered from their over the phone, and I called midday. They answered right away and placed my order, and it was at my door in three day. So I would say maybe just a fluke.

Redoing my pool and could use some advice along the way

Well I can't chime in much on the other questions, but that is our pool finish. We love the color, but we didn't go with the abalone stone in it due to longevity concerns. Good luck with your project!

Help building a wall with sheer decent waterfall

We have a feature wall with a three sheer descents in our pool. They are only on when we are entertaining or the kids want something to play with. That being said I'm still waiting for the lighting to be fixed so I can how it looks at night. Our height is roughly two feet, and isn't slapping the...

Pool Build - Largo, FL Pool Filled!

Since I haven't had much time to update this thread I'll attempt to capture what has since occurred from the plumbing back in February. 3/3/21: Artistic banding was installed. 3/5/2021 - approximately 3/8/2021: The gas line was ran for the outdoor kitchen. I'm not going to lie, but the...

Florida Build started 11/24/2020 - lots of pics

Congrats on getting the water filled on your pool build, and now it's time to brush away on the plaster. Also I see your pool builder, and I'm sure they will be around soon enough to collect on that final check. Regarding the water have you tested it yet?

    Pool guy screwed up...

Shouldn’t cause any issues if the drain was open. Now why have a pool guy is a whole other discussion though.

We're doing this again! Orlando OB Take 2 -PLASTERED! 6/1

Wow 5 days out I don't think is that bad, but I know the feeling of waiting an eternity. One of the pool builds by us had dug the pool, and did the rebar. Then told the homeowner 3 to 4 weeks before they would come back to shoot the gunite. Not sure if that's a scheme to do more money chasing or...

Yeah major delay for us on the Shellock. Took almost seven weeks for it to arrive, and it wasn’t even what we wanted initially.

Glad to see your pool is moving forward. I can echo the delay in build as we signed in July as well over in Pinellas. The main delay was the Shellock and we confirmed with the vendor just to make sure we weren't being given the run around. Still waiting on the interior to be shot on ours. PB...

Pool Build - Largo, FL Pool Filled!

The PB crew was out today to prep the gunite for the interior to be finished. They need to finish the artistic bands on the steps and seats. Then they can do the interior whether permitting. Hoping that it all happens tomorrow so they can acid wash it, and we can start the fill. It has been a...
