Ideal RPM for Pentair Intelliflo and 10k gallons

My family rarely swims, and we have a screen enclosure so almost no dirt and debris gets in the pool. I have a Zodiac Baracuda G3 which I run once in a while. I'm thinking 3000rpm is pretty high to be running the pump at all the time. I'm in central FL and the pump is set to run 8a-5p. I also have an Intellichlor IC40, so I need to ensure I'm always generating chlorine with sufficient flow. What's the lowest setting I can leave the pump on when we're not swimming or cleaning it?

$$$$$,

3,000 RPM is way, way too fast of a speed to just generate chlorine..

You only have to run it fast enough to close the flow switch on the SWCG, plus 100 RPM just to make sure.. For me this is about 1200 RPM.. I would not run slower than 1,000 RPM.

I run my pump 24/7, mostly at 1200 RPM, because I like making a little chlorine all the time and I like skimming all the time. This costs me less than $20 bucks per month..

No requirement to run 24/7, just something I like to do.

Another plus to reducing the speed from 3,000 to 1,000 is the noise.. At a 1,000 RPM you almost have to touch the IntelliFlo to see if it is actually running..

Thanks,

Jim R.
