Thought I would report back that after a long process I raised my CYA to about 60 and my pool is now holding chlorine. What an adventure!

I'm replacing my Pentair spider valve today and need to use Loctite 401 to glue it in. How long do I need to let the glue cure before in can turn the filter back on? Also where to I put the Loctite? Thanks for any info someone might have.

Agreed. I put the Pink Treat in last year and have apparently never recovered. Will the pool have to be drained bone dry? If yes, how does a professional or anyone prevent the possible damage James mentioned. Is it about the pace of the drain? Looks like I'm not renaming my pool anytime soon.

I brushed and vacuumed around 10:30 AM. I also brushed the raised hot tub where this was noticeably more dust/dirt than I saw in the pool.
