Sorry, my hose clamps that came with my pool are plastic and I assumed that to be the case for you all as well. Given that I can't get that double plunger valve for weeks, I supposed I might have to try using an adapter to go from the existing 1.25" t-junction to the 1.5" hose going into the pump.

Here is what the first two pages of the manual say. I think this might be the source of some confusion. They are instructions to construct optional parts on the inlets and outlets. But what's optional about the outlet? I thought it necessitated a 1.5" outflow vinyl cut?
