    Slam for mustard algae

I am about to slam pool for mustard algae. I have a PH of 7.8 and a TA of 100. Do I need to get the PH down between 7.2 and 7.5 before I SLAM? Just trying to get the SLAM done before I close for the season. Thanks

    Whats this?

Pool( 16x48, 5100gallon) has been not used and covered with solar cover for about a week. I use a sand filter(intex 2800gph). Today when I went to take water sample( test daily, BBB, Taylor 2006) I saw patches of what at first I thought was dirt. When I went to brush it immediately disappears...

    Intex sand filter

This is the first year I am opening my existing pool. Just about done with the refill. What step do I do first after opening the shut off valves to pump? Backwash for 3 minutes, then rinse and filter just like when I set up last year? Thanks for your help Jeff

Pink spots on outside of pool

Has anybody ever seen pink spots on the outside of their AGP? I just noticed today that I have about 6 pink spots on outside white band of my intext pool. They are not slimy and bleach or clorox wipe wouldn't remove them. Pool is still closed and I am very confident I closed correctly even if it...

Are last years taylor 2006 reagents old and no good?

Hi everybody, Just got an email from TFP on a great deal to restock my tf100 and/or Taylor 2006. My question is are the chemical reagents left over in my kit from last year bad? Or can they be used for a 2nd season? Thanks!

Would it be wise to pull all my rubber seals , and O rings. Lube them up and store for the winter in a gallon zip lock or container? Thanks!

    Question about TA

I have had my little 5000gallon AGP up and running for about 3 weeks. Feeling pretty good about using my Taylor 2006. Water has been beautiful! I really have not had to add anything but stabilizer one time and chlorine daily. I have to aerate PH a few times to get to the sweet spot. My question...

Day 6 of fresh fill and got rain last night, questions?

Hi Day 6 of fresh fill and got rain last night. Let me start off by saying Friday I anticipated heavy bathers and lots of sun(80* in the PNW) so tried to add enough bleach 8.25% to compensate for those factors to get to 7ppm. Well neither of those things happend. Not alot of sun and not much...

    Taylor 2006 reagent refills

First time pool owner with a small AGP and a Taylor 2006 test kit. Will I get through the summer testing FC and PH daily? Just trying to get some insight on weather I should order some reagent. Also what other reagents I might run out of? Thanks!

Whats a good TA range? And a few other questions?

Hi, 1st timer here. I went to the local pool store just to get my water tested by them for the first time only. My thought was it would be a good starting point for me to open up my Taylor 2006 and check my numbers against theirs. My question is that they have a range for TA at 125-150. My TFP...

    Pool Cover

Cant seem to find a good winter solid 16ft round AG pool cover. Would an 18ft pool cover work correctly? Intex sent me one with the pool but I am sure it's not good enough for winter. Thanks
