No. I have no eyeballs in the returns. When I tiled the pool I cut the pipe back and tile the inside for an inch so they are invisible. Just my thing. I did the same on my last pool and had some clear eyeballs that worked but didn't look into those yet.

Filling new pool inna few weeks

So, over the last few days I have dumped 5 gallons of MA to try to lower the TA. I have gone from 250 to only 200. My PH is at 7.0. Should I keep attacking the TA with MA or do I dump in the Borax, wait, and MA a little later. I really have no way of aerating. I turned the air on in the spa (air...

Thanks Marty. I'll work on the TA.

The reason I ask if the CH is too high is that (I'm guessing calcium) flakes are coming thru the returns and sit on the floor. Other than that the water is clear.

Cool. I'll pick some up. So is the 300-325 ok for CH? I've read mixed opinions on that.

So I added calcium but somehow got the figures wrong and now I am between 300-325. The Alk is down to 180 and I plan on adding some MA later today as I put some in this am. The PH is at 7.0 and plan on picking up some soda ash tomorrow and start working on that. The PH was at 7.4 this am but...

I was hoping to be the first to jump in but a couple friends made it before me. Still working on the chemicals a bit. We'll get there.

Then again...... looks like I need some acid and calcium chloride. I was thinking the numbers were opposite than what they are.

So water going into the pool is 7.4 ph, 150 CH, and 250 Alk. Not too bad to start. Pool should be full tomorrow evening and we're all looking forward to some swim time.

Filling new pool inna few weeks

Yes my idea. We built the house and pool ourselves. We like the lap pool and one depth of 5 feet. No crazy curves and depth changes. The bench faces south so in the winter it's a good place to kick back in the sun a bit. I do these Bisazza all tile pools all the time so it's only natural to go...

Thanks Jim. When you put it that way I would probably be happier with an older phone. These "smart" phones can be quite annoying sometimes. Anyway, with what you said and with the recommendation from a pool contractor that I know on the west coast I will be going with the IntelliCenter. As for...

Filling new pool inna few weeks

So I finally got my pool tiled, all Bisazza glass mosaics, and will be filling in a few weeks. The quipment will be set in a week or so. The list below is tentative. Pretty solid except for the IntelliCenter. Not sure that it's needed. I'm just thinking that the Easy Touch might a little easier...
