    Any experience with Hayward warranty?

My Hayward Aquanut vaccum and LED light both crapped out at the 2 year mark. Looks like the warranty is 3 years, but might be parts only. Anyone have any experience if it is worth the hassle of warranty or just replace? Also, warranty is asking where I bought and date of purchase, but they came...

Best Places to Buy Liquid Chlorine

Any Phx metro people have a good source for the refillable Chlorine 4 pack? I am in the east valley and there is only one place left I know that sells it for 27.99. It is cheaper to get the 9.99 Home Depot 2 packs at this point but I hate all the extra boxes, trash and inconsistency that comes...

    NPT Country Classic Travertine

This is NPT Country classic, I might be able to get better pictures when I get home if you need it. Turned out great, no regrets. No cracks or staining about 14 months in now.

    Newer pump not turning on

Interesting, how hard are those to install on an existing system\? Do you know where you can buy it. Most stuff I can find for Hayward is only sold to 'authorized dealers' I haven't found any place that sales to the general public.

    Newer pump not turning on

I noticed the pool was getting really dirty, so I thought something was wrong with the vac. I opened my Hayward app to check the pump schedule and the app said it was currently running, but it wasn't. I turned it on and off via the app as well as at the control panel and it would give me...

    Aerator

The water feature will do the trick. Without a water feature I would say you have to have one to play with your PH when needed. My water feature does a good job of cooling my pool.

The tile guys sealed it. Should be done by default if they are a good crew. It appeared to be regular tile sealer, like what you would use if you tiled a shower.

Liquid Chlorine Cost Increase @ Home Depot

I searched for a good month for affordable LC in the valley. (Liquid Chlorine Price and Supply) Prices have even gone up since then. It wasn't even this high in the peak of COVID craziness. Since you are in Chandler, you are close to my go to spot now. Price Busters Pool and Spa in Mesa has four...

    LED waterfalls

I have a brilliant wonders. It doesn't light up the water down spout as much as I thought, but it does look nice. You can't change the colors on mine through the app like I can the pool light.

    Another O/B in Arizona

Hi neighbor, I recognize your neighborhood :D I have the same travertine, laid in the same pattern, I think the same pebble/plaster color and possibly the same tile (just a larger size). It might be too late, but make sure that white grout on the water line is SEALED not just once, but twice...

    Liquid Chlorine Price and Supply

Can I ask what you paid for your SWG, did you install it or pay someone to? That route is looking real good right now. Bleach has been overproduced due to the pandemic, everything was really old and overpriced :-(

    Liquid Chlorine Price and Supply

Is there a 2021 Price thread yet ;) As someone who keeps their pool open year round, the last 2 months have been difficult for finding affordable liquid chlorine. Home Depot was sold out, which is odd for this time of year. Price increased to 9.99 for 2-10%, no more bulk discount. Wal-Mart...

    New Owner-Builder - Gilbert, Arizona

One year old pool here in Gilbert. Ditch the in floor cleaning system. Gravel and even plain 'ol arizona dirt has rocks small enough to clog them. I talked to all my neighbors and they all were not really satisfied. Robot vacuums are the future, so make sure you have power close enough to the...

    Pump replacement - newbie questions

Hello, so I just replaced my pump on my hot tub, direct replacement for the most part so it was fairly simple. However, my old pump had a barbed connector connected to one of the drain plugs that did not fit in the new one. The only one I can find for that pump after a short search has a wrong...

    Is a waterfall worth it?

We have a sheer descent and love it. Water aeration helps balance the chemicals around. It also helps cool my water when it gets too warm in the summer. Rock water falls look great on free form, sheer descent looks great on geometric pools.

Best Places to Buy Liquid Chlorine

AZ (Phoenix Area) people. Fry's had 10% 2 packs on sale for $5.99 this weekend. $3/gallon for 10% is the best price I have seen locally in a long time. All had April Manufacturing date.

In over my head Baja Step 18" ?? Pool Renovation

I did a second step Baja and regret nothing. It is very comfortable and the decking ends up being the right height for back rest/arm rest. I am in Az and 6" of water isn't enough to stay cool.

    O/B in Peoria AZ

Shasta Pools was one of our most expensive bids, you are paying for the name more than anything. The worst thing on this is the $200 for a 'door alarm' that cost $10 on Amazon. Even of that is code, most people take them off after inspection.

    Build Started 7/14/2020

I think 5' from structures is the code in most places. I had a friend sell a house to an FHA buyer. He had to replace all the windows with tempered glass because the pool was only 4 foot from the house. I guess FHA regulations wouldn't allow a situation where you could fall through a window into...

    Calcium Hardness and CYA

New pool here, chlorine and PH have been fairly easy to maintain so far. Here are my average pool results: FC: 2 pH: 7.6 TA: 90 CH: 130 CYA: 20 Temp: 51 degrees I added the recommended dry stabilizer into a sock, in the skimmer about 12 days ago. It still hasn't fully dissolved. I go in there...

    OmniLogic vs Omnihub

Can anyone tell me if there is any discernible difference between the Hayward Omnilogic and the Omnihub. My pool was supposed to be built with smart controls and the builder completely forgot. I ended up with an Omnihub which is more of a product for adding on mobile pump controls to existing...

New pool build in Allen TX

I like the new design. I was going to comment on the original that it would drive me crazy to not be able to look out the window/door and see the heads in the pool. Raised walls in the back are great, in the front not so much. The view from inside the house will be better now too!

    Construction experts - help!

I think I have annoyed my pool builder to the max already, albeit with real issues. But another issue cropped up on Saturday and I need to ask someone if I am over reacting. They came to fix some decking issues and the crew needed to wash out. The water from them cleaning their equipment behind...
