does anyone know if production of parts for this Jandy filter has been discontinued? I can’t find pleatco or unicel from reputable stores. Amazon has third party stores selling the same Chinese made filter under different names with questionable reviews.

Nothing unusual and everything wide open. The pool is 5 years old, so the plumbing and electrical is pretty straight forward.

I do have the breaker at the pool equipment. Cost of heat pump is about 5-6k. According to the estimate I got, he wants 8k for install.

I won’t do the plumbing. As I said, the only one I was able to find wants me to hire an electrician to run the electrical line and hookup. My hvac company doesn’t deal with anything pool related.

Is it the norm to service heat pump pool heaters by an HVAC company? One of the installers told me they don’t service these and I would need to find an hvac company. But somehow he’s the service center for Jandy. Very confused by this response.

Both installers have heat pumps installed in their pools, but the majority of their installs are gas heaters. One installer is wants me to hire an electrician. The second installer is all inclusive, which I prefer to avoid finger pointing in case something happens.

What is the heater bypass and why do I need it? Jandy pump seems to have a bypass. Electric line installation is included. I don’t know about the gas line. The second installer assures Raypak is a better heat pump.

no, sorry for the confusion, $7k for the heat pump. The gas heater was in the $4500 bulk part.
