Keep Poolverneugen or replace with Polaris 360

This pool is at a rental property so I was hoping to reduce the amount of time I have to spend in cleaning the pool by having a leave in automatic cleaner. I supplement this by brushing the walls once a week. My issue is I have to alternate the use of the skimmer with the suction side cleaner...

Keep Poolverneugen or replace with Polaris 360

It's a 18,000 gallon pool. I mostly get leaves but i get an occasional twig. The main reason I wanted to get the Polaris 360 is because I wanted to free up the skimmer because I'm currently running my The PoolCleaner through it. I also don't have a booster pump plumbed in.

Keep Poolverneugen or replace with Polaris 360

I have a pool with a 3/4 hp, 1 skimmer, and 1 return. I currently have a Pooverneugen but I was consider getting a Polaris 360 so that I have a skimmer and a cleaner at the same time. What do you think of this setup ?

    Yellow/Mustard Algae

My pool has from what I believe is mustard/yellow algae. The most affected area is the stairs. I've shocked and scrubbed that area multiple times and was not able to get it off. My question is how do I get it off and how to keep it off. Some details about my pool: ~18k gallon pool, 48 sq ft DE...

The Hayward Pool Cleaner stuck in deep end

I’ll check the hoses tonight. I just replaced the wheels a week ago. Is there a minimum horsepower for suction cleaners to work properly. I couldn’t find anything.

The Hayward Pool Cleaner stuck in deep end

The return is point down but at a angle away from the deep end. How many hose sections are there? I received it used. I connected all the hose sections I received. I believe the flow limiter is fully open but I’ll double check.

The Hayward Pool Cleaner stuck in deep end

I installed a Hayward The Pool Cleaner recently but its staying in the deep end. It’s also not fully climbing the wall. I counted the RPM using the wheels and it was at 9-10 RPM. I’m assuming the suction is too low. Do I need a pump that has a higher horsepower? Here are my pool specs: - The...

Aftermarket parks for Hayward Poolvergnuegen The PoolCleaners / AquaNaut / Phoenix

I have a The PoolCleaners 2 wheel cleaner and was looking for aftermarket parts. I was looking for an elbow and a variable suction adjuster. I found some on Amazon but wasn't sure if it would be compatible with the The PoolCleaer. Have you guys used aftermarket parts from Amazon to replace The...

    Installing a Polaris booster pump

A friend gave me a The PoolCleaner’s suction cleaner so I’ll be putting off getting a robot. Thank you for everyone’s input.

    Installing a Polaris booster pump

So it looks like effort wise a robot will be much less while the up front cost is much more. On the other hand a pressure side vacuum will be more effort in terms of plumbing and electrical but will cost less. One advantage that a pressure side has though is I won’t have to have to take it out...

    Installing a Polaris booster pump

Can you give me more insight into why I need a dedicated return line for a Polaris 380? I considered a robot cleaner. What are the average repair costs? My main reason in adding a cleaner is to reduce manually vacuuming the leaves that sink to the bottom of the pool. How are robots with this...

    Installing a Polaris booster pump

S Why couldn’t I cut the pipe between the filter and pool return and put the booster there?

    Installing a Polaris booster pump

I have one return line with one eyeball. Would replacing my only return with a Polaris 380 cause any issues with pool? By main drain do you mean a drain at the bottom of the pool? If yes then I don’t have a main drain. The capped pipe goes underground. I’m not sure how to find out where the...

    Installing a Polaris booster pump

I owned my pool for a couple years now but I had a pool guy maintaining it. I decided that it was time to do it myself so I started reading up on pool care here on TFP. So far I've got a handle of the chemicals (ph, CYA, FC, CC, Alkalinity, etc). So background on my pool. It is a plaster pool...
