    Construction concerns

Hello all, We're nearing the end of our pool project and noticed two issues with the shell. In the first picture, we seem to have water coming from the soil through the shell. We just had drip lines installed for plants on the other side of the shell and started noticing water seeping into the...

    New build in North Florida

A few more recent pictures as we move into waterline tile and plumbing. Moving right along, as long as the weather continues to cooperate. Ran into the edge of the drain field for our main septic, but thankfully we were able to resolve that issue with very little drama.

And for the construction specifics, if anyone is interested, the pool walls are 8” thick with 1/2” rebar (12” OC) and the plumbing uses schedule 40 PVC plumbing. Gunite is 4000 psi.

It’s quite a mess right now. And they are supposed to shoot the shell tomorrow morning! (And thank you for the merger!)

    New build in North Florida

The pool is roughly 25,000 gallons, plus the spa. We’re using a Hayward Tcell 940 for SWG, H series 400k btu heater, 140k btu heat pump, OmniLogic controls, and four ColorLogic LED lights (3 pool, 1 spa). I do not recall the specific filter size but the builder recommends using glass media...

Good question. See attached. The landscaping obviously does not reflect the final look.

    New build in North Florida

We just started on our build in Tallahassee, FL. We are building a 20’x48’ pool, inclusive of an 8’ tanning ledge, with a 12’x7’ spa. We are using Hayward equipment, Wet Edge Signature matrix pebble finish, and will have roughly 1250 sq ft of travertine decking. Appreciate the feedback on our...

Also, does anyone have feedback on KrystalKrete vs. all the other finish options? I've read numerous posts about PebbleTec but not much on KrystalKrete.

Thank you - small world! We live in Centerville Conservation off of Centerville Road (otherwise known as South Georgia!). Thank you for the feedback on the options - I'm beginning to see that the opportunity for customization is almost endless. Regarding the pool drains - is this for safety...

That's good feedback, thank you. We are getting Screenlogic, and are very much interested in a robotic cleaner.

We haven't been given a volume yet (or rather, we haven't asked for that calculation!). Thank you for the links -- I've been reading up to become better acquainted of the post sale obligations :)

    New build in North Florida

Long time lurker, first time poster. This will be our first pool build, so we would appreciate any feedback on design, specs, or both. A few points on the design/equipment: * We're working with a fairly significant slope away from the back of the house, thus the 6' retaining wall on the back...
