    Polaris Cleaner

Disregard. I just bought a new robotic cleaner. Do I need to cap off the Polaris hose cleaner wall jet or can I just leave it as an extra jet? Also, what do I do about the Polaris pump? Leave it as is or have it disconnected and safe-off the power? Thanks

    Polaris Cleaner

Today I noticed my polaris cleaner is floating. It was working fine the past few days. I am hearing a hissing noise coming from the wall jet where the polaris hose is connected to. I disconnected the hose from the wall and the water pressure coming out of the wall seems low and even with the...

    Issue with Polaris Cleaner

A little over 3 weeks ago I had some service done on my pool equipment. The tech replaced a leaking adaptor on the water line connected to the Polaris motor (see photo for adaptor replaced). The next day I noticed the cleaner was not moving as fast as before in the pool. I reached out to...

    Pump Making aloud Noise

All is it safe to let the pump/motor run under the current condition, until such time I can get a pool repair tech to my home middle of next week? Is there a risk of fire? With this heat and humidity I am sure my water will turn green quickly if I turn the pump off for a couple of days

    Pump Making aloud Noise

Has never run dry. I run it 8 hours in winter and 10-12 hours now in summer. It’s been quiet and working with no issues since I last replaced it.

    Polaris Cleaner Hose Tangles

I am at the point where I am ready to toss the cleaner! Two months ago I bought a new hose, two 10’ pieces and cut them down enough so the cleaner reaches each end. Placed them it the hot sun for about two days but it didn’t help. Since they come rolled in the package I knew it would take time...

    Pergola over Pool

My in ground pool is exposed to direct sunlight all day. Looking for ideas with how best to provide some shade. I am thinking about possibly building a pergola over the pool using four steel post at each corner and then adding aluminum slates on top so it’s not top heavy, followed by...

    Vacation

I have actually talked to two different repair techs who did work on my equipment about SWCG and both of them said, it's not worth the investment as it still requires continuously checking and filling with product. I am sure it beats having to buy LQ every week. I read from a neighbor that he...

    Vacation

Hello, looking for some guidance on pool chemicals while away for vacation. I was thinking about adding the liquid chlorine the night before I leave, then place 2-3 chlorine pucks in the floater, but not sure if this will work since we have never left the pool unattended like this for more...

Freeze Guard for Intermatic Dual Timer

Thanks 1poolman1, what you suggested is what I have been doing during the very cold temps like what we had earlier this week. I thought I'd check just to see if there was a device to add to make it simpler during times when I may not be at home. I can just continue as I have.
