That’s a great suggestion, and I have seen issues, particularly with Sonos, where devices on different frequencies don’t play well together. I don’t believe this applies to the IntelliCenter, as the app allows you to control it from anywhere over the Internet.

Sounds like you want to stream music, in my opinion, Sonos is worth looking at. You could add the “in ceiling” or “wall mount” speakers along with a multi channel amp and a Sonos Connect and simplify the convenience of your streaming. My bet is you’d be far ahead cost wise as well.

In-ceiling speakers are always going to be a compromise, and in my opinion are nearly always inferior to quality stand alone speakers. Stick with the Polk atriums mentioned here or go with Definitive Technology AW-6500’s. They can be mounted in the eves and are vastly better then in-ceiling...
