I have cool blue diamond brite pool. Someone recommend me 99% trichlor granular + brushing to remove lots of stains on pool bottom. Is this safe? Will it destroy the blue color in my diamond brite?

1) can you tell what kind of filter I have in the pic below? 2) how can I know that it is running properly? 3) how often do they last, and how often do they need to be checked?

The vitamin C I have says 'non-acidic' :(

Ok. I wasn't sure if I needed the basket or something to pre-filter any larger debris.

Here is pics of my skimmer setup. First one has the basket in place. Second one is without the basket. How would I attach vacuum for this? Any special plate needed?

I saw a $15 pool vaccum being sold in walmart that uses the pressure from a garden hose to lift up debris into a net. Do you think this is worthwhile? My pool is 15x30.

Re: whats this... L90 R90 180 I appreciate the help. I did what you said. The door to the skimmer(weir door?) seems to adjust well to the increased suction. Now the exit valve below. It splits into 2. I'm assuming because 1 is pool and 1 is spa. Can I adjust this valve to make it only pool? And...
