The cracks appear to be diagonal from each other, one twords the deep end and the other from the deep end side of the step. Definitely seem to be related.

The only place I see any evidence of what I am assuming is mustard algae is on the inside of the wheels of the pool sweep. We have a dark pebble finish so I am thinking we will not see the algae there. I have brushed the pool and truthfully have not noticed any debris. I got the pH to 7.2ish...
