Can I replace my skimmer without pulling down liner? (re: pictures inside; cracks in skimmer basket)

Thanks so much for the help! I'll probably try to repair it with an epoxy like suggested, but does anybody know if the Hayward SP1091WM is available in gray? My dealer says mine should be a Hayward but it seems like they only available in white. They said they could order it in gray but I...

Can I replace my skimmer without pulling down liner? (re: pictures inside; cracks in skimmer basket)

It looks like my skimmer basket got cracked over the winter: Here is the skimmer: I've been looking at videos and it seems like I need to pull down the liner and replace the entire skimmer? I was hoping the basket (?) was separate from the skimmer frame (?) (the thing inside the pool) but...

Neighbor's pool heater is loud and rumbling (but mine is almost silent?)

Thanks again for the information. It's running again and it sounds like a old hotel boiler room or something. It just sounds like a very very loud (rumbling) furnace. It's the same kind of sound my quiet heater makes but just cranked 20x louder.

Neighbor's pool heater is loud and rumbling (but mine is almost silent?)

Would the larger (?) heater require a larger gas line? Is it adjustable on the unit? Thanks... I haven't seen him backwash the pool in several weeks (or all summer?) but I might not have seen it of course.

Neighbor's pool heater is loud and rumbling (but mine is almost silent?)

I live really close to one of my neighbors and his pool heater is on the side near our house. He has an above-ground 24' pool and replaced a broken Hayward H100ID heater with what appears to be a Hayward Universal H-series. However, it's makes an noisy rumbling sound. The decibel level isn't...

Need help - found hole on side wall of above-ground pool before winterizing

It might be a few days before I can take a photo underwater. It's been raining for the past 24 hours and it's supposed to keep raining for a couple of days. The hole is located about 1 foot from the bottom of the pool but on the side wall. Did you want a picture to help determine the cause of...

Need help - found hole on side wall of above-ground pool before winterizing

The liner is only 2 years old and I have no idea how it got the hole. It's behind the removeable ladder and doesn't touch the side of the pool so I'm really quite stumped. Would you recommend the Boxer Vinyl Pool Repair Kit? I'm going to check my local pool stores tomorrow but I want to make...

Need help - found hole on side wall of above-ground pool before winterizing

I've had my above-ground pool for just over 2 years (~28 months?) and I was taking one last swim before winterizing the pool and I found a 3/4" hole on the side wall of the pool. Do I need to replace the liner or should I try a patch? One of my concerns is that I won't be able to see the water...

Can I connect my pump to my return to drain my pool (below return) for the winter?

I was just trying to make it go a little faster (and further from the pool) but I was able to use gravity to drain just below the return. Is that OK (drained by gravity just below the return) or do I need to drain it any further?

Can I connect my pump to my return to drain my pool (below return) for the winter?

I have an above ground pool that I need to winterize and I’d like to drain it just below the return. I’ve used backwash/waste to drain below the skimmer but now I need to go lower (below the return). Is it safe to connect my pool pump to the return and pump water out that way?

How can I replace the outlet coupler on Hayward H100ID1 heater?

Sorry, I don't see the picture? If I remove the grommet and even the heat exchanger, if the coupler is attached with pipe dope (glue?) how will I be able to remove it to attach a replacement? If you take a look at the picture above, part #11 is the broken coupler. It's threaded, but that...

How can I replace the outlet coupler on Hayward H100ID1 heater?

Thanks so much for the reply! What do you mean by sealed and not glued? Here is the manual which shows a parts diagram: https://www.hayward-pool.com/assets/documents/pools/pdf/manuals/h-series-induced-draft.pdf Here is a snippet: However, I've tried to turn the remaining PVC part but it...

How can I replace the outlet coupler on Hayward H100ID1 heater?

I was tightening the PVC attachment to the heater's outlet coupler and the coupler broke. The problem is that it appears glued (or something) to the metal inside the heater so I have no idea how to replace it: There is a replacement part available (IDX CPG 1930) and doesn't seem too bad if I...

What is the red (molex-style?) connector inside the Hayward H100ID heater?

Wow - thanks so much for finding it! However, that's the actual connector that I need to find (not the other end). The Hayward heater electrical plug ends inside the heater with the connector I pictured. I need to replace the electrical cord with the same connector so it will connect with the...

What is the red (molex-style?) connector inside the Hayward H100ID heater?

Here's a picture of the end of the connector. (sorry it's a bit blurry) I'm just noticing now that one of the slots is keyed a bit different than the other 3.

What is the red (molex-style?) connector inside the Hayward H100ID heater?

I updated the original post by uploading the image directly to the forum. Please let me know if you can see it? I've searched Mouser and Molex and can't quite find the correct adapter. It measures 10mm x 23.75mm and has a 3.5mm pitch.

Where can I drain filter backwash water? Connect to house drainage system? Pump to street/drain?

Thanks so much for the replies. I'll definitely check with local codes before I do anything. If I do decide to run the water down my driveway, can I run PVC from the filter and through the house to install an outlet near the driveway? This would save me time in the future from having to drag...

Where can I drain filter backwash water? Connect to house drainage system? Pump to street/drain?

I've finally setup my above-ground pool and it's working great but after about two weeks the pressure on my filter showed around 20 PSI (?) so I was told to backwash it. I didn't realize it, but it took drained quite a lot of water before it turned clean and I now had a second pool in my yard...

What is the red (molex-style?) connector inside the Hayward H100ID heater?

Does anybody know what connector this is inside a Hayward H100ID natural gas heater? The included power cord is extremely short (~2 feet) and I need it at least another foot. I'd like to buy the correct (molex-style?) connector and make my own cable. (Hayward doesn't sell any replacements, I...
