Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus - working again after new cable installed

My dolphin is nearly 5 years old and recently quit working. The power supply illuminates but the robot itself was immobile and the impeller fan was not spinning. I took the robot apart to ensure all bearings and rollers turn properly, but it still would not operate. I ordered a replacement...

    Fiberglass Pool stains??

Update: the stains are organic. I placed a 3" trichlor puck on a couple spots and it lifted the stain where the puck was in contact. Now that I confirmed the stains to be organic, what is the best means to remove the rest of the stains?

Thanks for the feedback. Will try to determine if organic or not

    Fiberglass Pool stains??

Started cleaning my pool a couple weeks ago to open it for the summer. Once I got the water cleared up I found what appears to be dark brown or black stains at the bottom of my fiberglass pool. Full disclosure, the water did get pretty dirty during the spring. I've scrubbed/brushed with no...

    Scale buildup in fiberglass pool

Been a while since I started this thread. Finally getting around to opening my pool. My robot vacuum has been submerged for better part of a month and has the same build up which feels and somewhat looks like sand, same as my pool surface. I believe its calcium as you mentioned so I poured full...

    Scale buildup in fiberglass pool

This our 3rd summer with our pool. The fiberglass has always been smooth until this summer which is now getting a rough finish that I assume is scale build up from our well water. Visually there is no difference but we can definitely feel the rough texture. Any recommendations on how to remove?

Now that I have PH and CYA right what shock level should I do? 30 CYA is only listed for non salt pools.

Okay. Checked my PH and CYA to prepare for SLAM. PH was 7.8 so I'll let it ride. CYA appeared to be zero, as the dot in the bottom of the test/view tube did not disappear when I filled it up. From what I read, I need to get the CYA up to 70-80 before I start to SLAM, but let me know if that...

Ive got most of the dirt out of the water. My FC is zero, salt cell showing 900 ppm, and water has a tiny hint of green tint. Should I slam pool or just add salt and bleach? If slam is needed, should I get salt up to 3100-3200 before I slam?

Cleaned my filters today. Although they certainly were not clean, I honestly expected them to be much dirtier. My psi still showed 4-5 on 2500 rpm before I removed them for cleaning.

Glad I asked. My FC was zero so I added the recommended 128 oz per pool math calc. Thanks!

Leslies suggests Clear Aid to bind the fine silt together to help the filter catch it. Thoughts?

    Post Flood Cleaning

Something else Ive noticed with my Hayward c7030 filter is the gauge typically sits at zero PSI, unless I run the quick clean mode on my pump which increases PSI to 4-5. Been like this since my pool was installed. Is that normal? When my pool installer suggested running my pumps at constant...

I believe you are correct. I forgot I had them run a line (and cap) for future water feature. Therefore, that valve needs to remain closed.

One last question. Just noticed the valve on my return line looks like it shows "closed" but all my jets are running. I have never turned this valve (yet); been this way since my pool was installed. Which direction should my handle be in?

If I need to remove silt/mud from the floor, where does one rent a portable filter/vac for removal?

My pool installer said to run my pump about 2500 rpm 24-7 and keep the cartridges clean. Option 3 sounds good once I it settles to bottomw.

We had torrential rainfall at my house and the flood waters ran over my pool. I shut off power to my pump equipment. What are the steps to get the pool cleaned. Mine is fiberglass with salt water generator.

Held off on SLAM. Added roughly 2lbs of CYA power yesterday. Numbers are looking better; see below. Water is nice and clear. Yall think I should still SLAM my pool?

I usually test using my TF100 kit but thought a store may be more accurate. Sounds like I can trust my test kit and dont really need a store. Here are my test results (photo) taken at 12pm. I filled my CYA view tube to the top but could still see the black dot so I assume CYA is 0. Calcium...

OK. I do have the TF-100 test kit and will run the tests today and report back. Leslies sold me a powder shock but sounds like I will return it.
