Hi!!! I have a CYA question that I cannot seem to find answers to. After you measure your CYA and get a number, do you always round up??? I’ve read that the correlation is not linear. So does that mean any number >1 rounds the CYA to the next 10 e.g. 41–>50 for treating FC???

Hi all!! I’ve got all my pool values where it needs to be, but my question now has to do with shocking the pool. What is typical protocol when you fish out a dead critter out of the skimmer? Do I shock the pool if I fished out a dead mouse in the skimmer??? That’s my morning surprise today.

Hi! yes, after the 5 drops of R-0003 there is no color change to indicate presence of CC.

I am using the Taylor 2006 FAS/DPD testing kit. I also have the other recommended kit from this forum on hand.

You are absolutely correct about the right to trim/prune your backyard... where I’d run into problems with my HOA is my desire to remove it completely as you initially suggested with a chainsaw ;). But that’s not an option. I’m hopeful that someone on this group might have some amazing tricks...
