Hayward VS Pump + SwimPure SWG Controller

Good afternoon - hoping that some of you find folks can help me :) I just installed a Hayward VS Pump and wired the power directly to the pump (it used to be routed through a mechanical timer). I’ve attached a picture of the current setup. Of course, the pump works great, but no chlorine is...

Another Aqua Rite / SwimPure + Question

Thanks chlorinatorpro- And just to close the loop, replacing the thermistor solved my issue. Back to generating chlorine!

Another Aqua Rite / SwimPure + Question

I opened up the panel and saw a crack in the thermistor - I'll swap it out and see if it resolves the issues.

Another Aqua Rite / SwimPure + Question

Hey all - I'm having difficulty getting my SWG to generate chlorine and was hoping that TFP could help me to diagnose the issue given the readouts on the LCD display. High-level synopsis: Upon turning off and turning on the pump, the "No Flow" light blinks for ~30 seconds while the pump is...

Sounds good, I'll pick some up on my way home and give it a shot. Thanks for the recommendation!

    Pool Cloudy, Chemicals Seem Good

I saw another post recommending adding DE to the sand filter, that's an interesting idea. Certainly haven't done that before. Is it correct to assume that any added DE would get washed out with backwashing (and would therefore have to be re-added)?

    Pool Cloudy, Chemicals Seem Good

This is the first time that I've used clarifier in the pool - and I replaced the sand media in ~August 2019.

    Pool Cloudy, Chemicals Seem Good

Sorry, I should have mentioned that a OCLT results in less than a 0.5ppm drop in FC.

    Pool Cloudy, Chemicals Seem Good

Good morning y'all, been dealing with a stubborn cloudy pool for a while now. Only problem is that we seem to be doing things right, at least imo. Here are the current test results from the T-2006. pH: 7.5 FC: 7.5 (I had bumped it up a while back when the pool was cloudy w/ shock) CC: <0.5...

Need Help, Friends to Swim Today

Yeah, we only have one pump - the kreepy krauly hooks up to the skimmer basket port. Reviews on robotic pool cleaners seem hit or miss at best, would certainly be happy to hear about any positive experiences with specific brands.

What’s a preferred suction side cleaner? I have an old kreepy krauly but I’m not sure it works as well as it could

Sounds like it’s probably safe even though it’s cloudy, but I was planning on doing a SLAM too. More to come on that...

Need Help, Friends to Swim Today

Thank you in advance for your help. Not sure why I keep getting some green color on the liner / sediment. My FC is usually in a good spot IMO. Also, is it safe to swim in do you think?

Need Help, Friends to Swim Today

Hey all - sorry, need some quick help. Really not sure what’s causing issues since the chemistry doesn’t seem bad...but I constantly get green on the vinyl liner (especially in the shade) and sediment. Here’s the chemistry: 7.8-7.9 pH 9.5 ppm FC (Usually around 5 but I bumped it last night to...

SWG Panel Reading 2,000 PPM, Tested at 3,000 PPM

Thanks JamesW, that’s excellent information! I’ll be sure to check the volts next time it’s in the “off” section of the cycle to ensure they’re in the ~30V range. I thought the generator might run constantly at a reduced output, but it makes sense that it’s cycle driven with “full” to “zero”...

SWG Panel Reading 2,000 PPM, Tested at 3,000 PPM

Ok, consider me perplexed. I bought a new T-15 equivalent off amazon and plugged it in. Seemed to be working at first, but then I came back and the signals were 0 (voltage, instant salinity, etc). I turned it off, unplugged the unit, then turned it back on after plugging it back in. Now these...

    The SWG is reading 2,100. Here are the codes: 87 27.6 0.00 48P -0 AL-0 r 1.55 t-9 2,100 As I was reading this the generating relay kicked off and check salt / inspect cell came on. New readings: 87 32.4 0.00 48P -0 AL-0 r 1.55 t-9 2,000

SWG Panel Reading 2,000 PPM, Tested at 3,000 PPM

I do know for a fact that it was set to T-9. I was quite certain that the actual salinity was 3,000 PPM - and the panel was reading 2,000, so 66%. After adding the salt, the registered salinity on the panel has certainly increased slowly -- but it appears to have maxed out at this point. The...
