How much of a straight section of pipe needed to install

Hi! How long of a section of pipe is needed to install Hayward AquaRite Pro AQR15-PRO-SD 40K Salt Cell, and the flow switch? I’m hoping it can fit in the flat section I have already.

    Co2 for ph

My fill water has very little ta. As I add so much acid currently, it’s almost a game, add acid, add baking soda. I’m not sure why, but my pool really likes to hang out at a ph of 8.

    Co2 for ph

So if my fill water has a low ta, 20 ish, and I can get co2 for basically free, is there any reason not to use co2 injection instead of acid? I’m not a big fan of handling acid, or having an acid pump in an enclosed shed where my pool equipment is. For whatever reason, my ph has to be adjusted...

    PH and cya woes

Thank you for that! It’s so hard to find a decent product on Amazon anymore. When you search all you find is the cheap junk the doesn’t work or keep calibration.

    PH and cya woes

It doesn’t bother us, I just thought it was bad for the equipment even if csi is balanced. Is that not the case? The Taylor ph kit also stops at 8, makes me uneasy trying to guess where it is once it goes over.

    PH and cya woes

Missed that part, keeping my ta at 60 currently. Pool equalizes at about 8-8.1, a little high for my taste.

    PH and cya woes

    PH and cya woes

So I have A 24k pool, that I use liquid chlorine to disinfect. I constantly have to add acid. About 2-300ml every other day or two, to keep ph at 7.6-7.7. Any thoughts? I was thinking about adding borax, to about 30-40 range to possibly help with acid consumption, but will that just mean I have...

    Pool ph

So, we remodeled and plastered our pool about two years ago, and are having some pretty extreme ph drift this year, I was wondering if anyone had any advice? I basically have to add 300ml of acid daily to keep it under 7.8, It will stay at 7.8 for a day or two if I don’t add any, but will start...

    Pool remodel issues

So, this is our second full season with our remodeled pool. We had a couple issues that I was wondering about. 1st, 75% of our cooping has hairline cracks (a few a tad bigger) in the mortar. Is this normal? 2nd, in our deep end, we are missing chunks of plaster around our light!! I can’t imagine...

    Polaris Booster pump

So I have a Polaris booster pump, that’s making horrible noises when you turn it on again, this year. This is our second pump in two years. Do they not normally last that long? It’s in a vented shed, so it’s covered and pretty cool. We had in winterized as well. It’s a pb4-60. I doubt they will...

    Pool closing

So we just had a super mesh safety cover installed, and I know were supposed to keep the water level below the tile. Is there any negatives to leaving a plastic pump sit on the pool steps, submerged, and run it as needed to keep the water level low? Also, since I’m pumping water out, do I need...

    Cya issues

So we replastered the pool last year, and had to add cya back in. We got it up to 45 and closed it in November to let the plaster cure. Opened it back up to cya of less than 30. I’ve used tablets and liquid the whole season, and can’t keep the cya at 40. Is it normal for it to drop more than 10...
