Question connecting Intelliconnect to ichlor and the intelliph wall panel at the same time.

Ok this is a wrap. I got the intelliph to coexist with the Intelliconnect.... The original approach worked ... Just that I realised I had to wait a bit longer for it to get a signal from the Intelliconnect. Now the iPh prompts you to adjust the swcg 'via automation' but will dose as normal. It...

Question connecting Intelliconnect to ichlor and the intelliph wall panel at the same time.

Moving on though, do any of you folks know if I can use one of the relays to interrupt at will the flow switch off my Hayward heat pump, much like Jimrahbe's post outlined with the dry contact relay of an intellitouch? I hooked up the supply of the heat pump to be relay 2 but it seems like too...

Question connecting Intelliconnect to ichlor and the intelliph wall panel at the same time.

Well Jim I haven't fried it.... yet it seems... But thanks for the heads up. Ok guys so tested your suggestion and eliminated the IPh for now and ta da ... It works. Shows 3050ppm, the temp is about 10 degrees off but this time I can adjust percentages to the ichlor and boost from the app...

Question connecting Intelliconnect to ichlor and the intelliph wall panel at the same time.

Yes Jim, I'm not sure it is possible either. The iPh I guess doesn't factor in to prominently in most set ups. IPh aside though, still don't see how an ichlor goes to an iconnect without cutting wires. And the link app? Not inspiring confidence because I disconnected the 'test' rs485 wire...

Question connecting Intelliconnect to ichlor and the intelliph wall panel at the same time.

The iChlor manual at https://www.pentair.com/content/dam/extranet/aquatics/residential-pool/owners-manuals/water-treatment/ichlor-salt-generator-user-manual.pdf page 19 shows connecting 4 wires, not 2, between the Power Center and the Automation box. As for this, the automation box...

Question connecting Intelliconnect to ichlor and the intelliph wall panel at the same time.

Hi aj, am definitely missing something here. To answer your question, it correctly shows 75, and responds to manipulation on the intelliph up or down. I downgraded my success to 0. The readings for the salt and temp are in fact static I noted subsequently. In case I had a polarity issue i...

Question connecting Intelliconnect to ichlor and the intelliph wall panel at the same time.

Thanks aj22... Well here's an update. Checked out all of your suggestions and went a bit further to test the male portion of the DIN connector on the power center's base. Turns out the wire block inside, for the green and white wires FAILS CONTINUITY to the said connector. Well that explains...

Question connecting Intelliconnect to ichlor and the intelliph wall panel at the same time.

Seeking practical wisdom pls... I am attempting to connect ichlo30 to the right side pair of RS485 terminals. I figured if I Daisy chained a wire, to the power center which had a yellow+ green terminal block inside it should work but the Link2o says comm error. As you can see in the photo, the...

thanks Kim. In terms of shoulda's there are a few. I believe I undersized the catch basin overflow (used 3/4" instead of at least 1 1/2") and the vacum port since it screws into the fitting, protrudes about an inch out the wall, looks like a zit. Lessons learnt.

I took a sort of shotgun approach with the waterproofing, I used a product that was sprayed onto the raw concrete called Radcon 7 and prior to diamondbrite application, I used a cementitious waterproofing product from Mapei....all over the pool shell and the catch basin. The top 85% of the catch...

well no build thread is complete without the finished pic so here it is! Just got things in balance water-wise. still waiting out some more time to splice in the SWG and bring it online. The edge ended up reasonably well for a first time, 30gpm keeps it nice and wet with a pleasing sound into...

So here's the finished product. Got some engraved labels... With regards to use of unions I would have used a high temp union if it were locally available for the pump ports but in that case I share the view of some others to simply leave room so that after the first cut, unions can be...

I should finish the equipment install tomorrow. And then the diy is practically over save for the led lights install since I have lined up to hire a team to do the diamond brite install. The equipment list (some of which you see in the photos) includes intelliflo VSF Ichlor 30 Intelliph 425 sf...

Thanks for the tip. Additionally, as far as those VS pumps go, which I do intend to use, I've read of numerous amazon reviews where the electronic board went bad. I already got some of this which I intend to experiment with in terms of increasing its longevity from moisture damage. Hope it works.

Hello jim, the slab for that (and the neighboring equipment room) has not been poured as yet. So stay tuned. On that note, with the equipment below the pool, I envision some extra valves so that for example merely cleaning the strainer doesn't empty the entire pool! Here is today's...

Hello Kimkats! This glass mosaic tile has mesh on the back of it, as opposed to paper on the font. I've read online somewhere that this type, the mesh mosaic tiles are less desirable for overflow edges installation.....not sure why that is so, but I hope it works out in this case. I used a...

No, I haven't fallen off a cliff....but sorry for the lapse in updates. Truth of the matter is that the pool spent the better part of a year as a 'store room' for all the other building materials...a whole container full of tiles, windows, glass, etc. But this week tiling has resumed for the...
