    Chlorine Stain?

Due to some unexpected circumstances my wife ended up adding half a gallon liquid chlorine to my fiberglass pool and didn't mix it up after she added it. I now have a yellow stain on the bottom of the pool leading to the drain. Does anyone know anything to correct this.

Official 2018 BBQ, Smoking, Grilling, Baking and Beer thread

I stopped buying ground beef, fresh, or frozen. I buy a chuck roll from Restaurant Depot, cut it up and grind my own, this way I know exactly what is going in it. For me 80/20 is the best combination for burgers but I like 85/15 for meatloaf and other types of ground beef dishes.

I use both. I like to use the grill part for heating large pots of stuff when I am making things on my Big Joe. It also works well for heating the pot for low country boils, one of our favorites. It is very versatile, as far as I am concerned. If you get one i'll give you a tip, that sounds...

Official 2017 BBQ, Smoking, Grilling, Baking and Beer thread

I looked at both the Camp Chef and the Blackstone when I was researching these. I decided the Camp Chef, even though it's a little smaller, is just sturdier built than the Blackstone. I have never regretted getting the Camp Chef.

Official 2017 BBQ, Smoking, Grilling, Baking and Beer thread

I have the Camp Chef 600 and I love it. I use it all the time for breakfast, when I have some of the grand kids staying over and smash burgers, as well as many other things. One of the things I like about the CC is the whole top just lifts off and you have a regular gas burner grill available. I...

    Anyone using this SWCG?

+1 on the Circupool. I went to an SWG system last year an Circupool RJ30 Plus, for my 11000 gallon pool and my Circupool worked great all year. Another factor to consider, whichever way you decide to go, is Circupool has a great warranty that also covers self install. Most SWG makers have a...

Getting a SWG (finally). Really need some advice.

I upgraded to an SWG system last year and after much research and help from the forum, I went with the Circupool RJ30 Plus for my 11000 gallon pool and I couldn't be happier. The customer service is great and they have full warranty with self install. I also decided to upgrade to a VS pump...

How to setup Variable Speed Pump with SWC

Last year I upgraded my pool to an SWG and a new variable speed pump. I just wired the pump direct and used my current manual timer to run the SWG. Just make sure when you set the timers that the pump will be running whenever the SWG is powered.

    What to do?

Thanks guys. I have checked the OCL and it's about normal for as cool as it's been here. I think it's getting cloudy just from not being filtered. My Dolphin does a little filtering but not near enough for the whole pool. I think I will raise the FC level to about 15 until I get the pump...

    What to do?

Here is my problem, I have been without a pump for over 3 weeks now and it looks like it will be Friday or next week before I can get it up and running. I have been keeping it as clean as I can by skimming and running my Dolphin A30i. The chemical balance as well as possible, adding LC when...

    Swg recommendations

I installed the CurcuPool RJ Plus in my system this spring, along with a new VS pump. I used the current pump timer to turn the SWG on and off, works great with the flow switch as a backup. Which it turned out I needed the flow switch, as my new Hayward VS pump failed this month. I should have...

Fix leak in PVC. Repair guy said 200-300!

Flex Seal now comes in a tape format and is supposed to work well. I would at least try that first.

    Swg recommendations

If you are looking for a stand alone system then the CircuPool RJ Plus series is hard to beat, if you have automation then it's best to go with that company's SWG for better integration. If you list your pool size and equipment in your sig the guys will be better able to help you.

    Pump Problem

I just installed the pump in June, so even with their 1 year for self install, it's still under warranty. I just hate to go through getting someone out here to look at it and then waiting for any parts ordered to then come back and install them. I wanted to close the pool next week and I don't...

    Pump Problem

Having pump problems again. I have the Hayward Tristar SP3202VSP VS Variable Speed Pool Pump and I am getting an error code of Check System, Low DC voltage. The troubleshooting guide just says it's not a real failure and to turn off the circuit breaker for 1 minute and it will reset. Mine does...

Was going to install a SWG but having second thoughts

I switched over to SWG this year and couldn't be happier. My only complaint is that I waited so long. It will take you a while to find the sweet spot for your setup but after you have it figured out then, as Jim says, you will only need to check things about one a month. In my setup I had to add...

Shout out for Discount Salt Pools!!

I just wanted to give some credit to Discount Salt Pools and their CircuPool SWG system. I had the no flow light indication on my RJ-30 Plus SWG control panel. I called Discount Salt Pools, as they are the dealer for CurcuPool products and the place I got mine from. They had me unscrew the flow...

    Hayward Tri Star overheat light?

I thought I would give an update on my pump. I tore into it and found water in the wire connections area, the 220v connection wires and controller connections, I guess the silicone I used didn't seal it well enough. I dried everything out and sprayed it all with electronic contact cleaner. I got...

    Hayward Tri Star overheat light?

I will have to file a claim, as I only installed it this year. I just hate to have it go out near the end of the season. I am going to order a new pump and then worry about fixing this one under warranty, this will give me a backup if i have future problems.

    Hayward Tri Star overheat light?

I searched but couldn't find anything on this. Today my Hayward Tri Star pump stopped. The check system and pump overheat lights were on and they will not reset. The screen says hit resume and when I do it says starting normal operation but nothing happens and then the lights come back on. I...

Need a new SWG, looking for recommendations

Count me in on the CircuPool bandwagon. I switched my pool over to Salt this year and after lots of research, I went with the RJ30 Plus and have been very happy with it. My pool is only about half the size of yours, so you would need the 40, or 60, size. I think the Plus is worth the money...

    Best SWG to purchase

I switched my pool over to SWG this year and after a lot of research I decided on the CircuPool RJ Plus series. I have been very happy with it, the install was simple, if you are not tying it into an automation system and it's a good value.

    Thinking about salt water

Just do it. I switched over this year and couldn't be happier. I have to watch the PH and put some acid in about once a week but Lowes sells the new less vapor producing acid now, so it's not bad to work with. I added boric acid to the pool about 2 weeks ago and that has helped with the PH...

    S300I, A30I Owners Assoc.

I am really enjoying my A30i that I got this year. I use it as directed and it does a great job, I am still amazed at how much is in the fine filters after a cleaning. When I remove it, I clean everything up and the let it sit in the sun until it is dry. I then move it back into my garage, which...

    Living with an air leak

I have a similar situation, that just started this year. My skimmer line is leaking air and my setup is a one piece fiberglass pool that is in a concrete box, inside a filled area, with a retaining wall around 3/4 of the pool. The cost to replace the line would be astronomical and the system...

New Hayward Super Pump - 115/230 is marked wrong & jumper in wrong place,

This has been going on for years. When I replaced a superpump about 5 years ago I had the same situation. My system is wired for 220 and the pump markings were all wrong. I was pulling my hair out trying to get the pump to run until I finally tried moving the jumper to the supposedly incorrect...

    salt level testing

Mine is just the opposite, I get higher readings with the K-1766 than my SWG controller shows. This sometimes presents a problem, as the SWG will stop generating because it shows low salinity. I actually have to keep my salt level up, to have it work correctly.
