    Solar Cover Prices

Hello all, it's still not pool season for those of us in the northeast but I need to get a solar cover for my pool this year. Prices have risen that's for sure and I know the consensus from this site is to get the cheapest possible one since there is no real difference in longevity. Would love...

What do you do when you go on vacation?

Like many of you folks, I am headed out on vacation soon. I am leaving for a full 5 days. Besides contracting the kids next door (which I might do), what do you folks do to keep your pool from being a mess with no upkeep? Do you just dump a whole ton of chlorine in it? Do you switch to tabs? Do...

So I was looking for a good deal on testing reagents as im getting low (and I messed up and left them out in the sun today, first day ever). Overnight loss test question

It was a hot sunny day today in upstate NY. 86 and pool had sun from 10am to 6pm. Last night I took my measurement and it said 2ppm and since my my CYA is 40 (14kGallon pool) I needed to add. So I was doing my CC test and counted backwards and I got to 2 drops (need to SLAM) and swirled it around and it went clear. It sat for a few seconds and so I recorded it. While I was doing my TA test, I noticed the CC vial was turning pink again. Is this normal? Thanks for the info. Just got...

Months away from pool build 14x32 vinyl. I really think I want the stairs (vinyl lined steel 8") off center on the short end. This means it will not be symmetrical. Anyone do it this way? How do you think it will look? Pool builder said it looked different in others but didnt think it looked...

Deciding on pool finishes, let me hear your thoughts

Both are reputable and have been building pools since the early to late 80s. Building a 14x32" pool, vinyl with 7' deep and 13' shallow end. Liners - Do I need 27mil...

    Building a small pool!

I grew up in upstate ny with a pool. My parents had a 16x36 grecian put in with a slide and a diving board and that pool got a lot of use. We were in it constantly. Now I am 35 and pool less (my previous house had a small 12x24 kayak pool that I had no trouble maintaining/using). I learned a lot...
