That movement is pretty slight. I had to slow down the playback speed to even spot it. But the pool seems to be pretty full, unless it’s just the angle from the video. How far down from top of pool is the water level?
When you say slightly out of level, how many inches are we talking?
Without rain, once summer hits I add water about once a week, until the rainy season hits. I also like my water level to be on the high side - about two inches from top of skimmer. That gives me some wiggle room in case we hit a dry spell.
I used SWG on my Intex for years. My first Intex (no SWG) lasted a little over 2 years, and my last Intex (SWG) lasted 4. I’m in Florida, land of humidity, and since moisture is what causes rust, I went with an all-resin pool for my permanent above ground pool.
I also used the Intex Pump/filter...
If your ph is stable at 7.8, I wouldn’t worry too much about it. But, if it continues to creep up, you could lower it to 7.2, as stated, a few times to drop your TA a bit. I find my ph is most stable with TA around 70, but every pool is different.
If those scratches go through the protective coating, you might want to hit them with some rustoleum. Don’t use it over existing rust - you’ll need to remove that before you treat the spots.
Hi! I’m sorry you haven’t gotten any answers yet. You might want to do a search about adding a skimmer to an Intex pool - I believe they are similar to BestWay.
There are a lot of videos on YouTube where people have done exactly what you describe. The ones I’ve seen that allow use of the ladder that came with the pool seem to either leave enough of a gap between the pool and deck to accommodate the ladder, or build the deck high enough to overhang the...
Hello! The next time you pull those steps out, do yourself a favor and get rid of ALL of the sand. Clean thoroughly. You can drill extra holes for circulation if you like. Then just allow them to fill with water, and every now and then, inject them with some chlorine water to prevent algae...
Hello - you need to use liquid chlorine to raise your chlorine to the desired level for your CYA, and then use your SWG to maintain it.
Your PH is pretty low. Can you post a full set of test results? What test kit are you using?
Safe swimming is all about the relationship between FC and CYA, and that is what target levels and SLAM levels are based on. Trust your testing and the FC/CYA chart!
I think you meant dripping from wet pool floats, etc. accumulates in the bottom, correct?
Have you ever pushed PVC into a fitting to check fit and couldn’t get them apart again? I have! I think just installing without any adhesive is fine, as long as it stationary.
Howdy. I have never used these lights, but if I did, I would probably remove them when not in use, for your second reason.
I would also be a bit paranoid that leaving them attached for long periods could provide a place for algae to lurk.
When I had my Intex, I did cut in a skimmer and also larger inlet and return. It seems scary, but it is actually pretty easy! I installed the skimmer faceplate and used it as the template for my cut lines, then removed it, made the cuts, and properly installed.
I do have a Betta now (and a...
I used the Intel SWCG combo with no issuemn for years. Definitely got my money’s worth! Not truly automatizeable (is that even a eord?) but it does have a timer.
You were just replacing your liner, right? How long did your pool sit empty?
If everything was fine before you drained and removed old liner, I’m thinking your wall track shifted, especially if the pool was empty for a while.
I agree with post above that you need to check your track and the...
What happens when it dries? Any graininess at all?
Have you ever used any products in your pool besides chlorine, CYA, etc.? Do you add anything via the skimmer?
When is last time you opened up sand filter?
