I’ve read to place top rails after liner is set and filling begins. I don’t recall doing this at Initial setup bc I can remember adjusting overlap liner throughout the filling process. Pretty sure when I shut off this vac shortly I will see wrinkles on the walls. I’m only ankle depth in my 27’ agp

Weellll, not quite. It has been a journey and it seems I may have made the biggest mistake of all. The liner fit is great and pool is all but filled and somehow I just now noticed
that a few of my posts are like 1/2-3/4” high. As you can see, there is a lip on my top plate which is not reaching over my wall
. I’m not sure if the track went down or the posts came up. Sigh. I do know the walls are seated well in the track. I’m not sure how I missed this when disassembling. Actually, between a week long liner replacement turned pool rehab, 100degree weather and 40 mile an hour gusts, I guess I do. Is my only option to try to dig under the blocks to lower the posts? Is that even possible/safe?

I’m picturing something, anything like this which is wider than my top rail and looks like it would slide over but like pvc so I can cut it. Am I crazy?

If those areas are too high at the base it may crease your wall.
Do you have a transit that you can shoot a line across the top of the caps to truly see?
This would help you determine if the posts are off or the bottom track/wall may be the culprit

You were just replacing your liner, right? How long did your pool sit empty?
If everything was fine before you drained and removed old liner, I’m thinking your wall track shifted, especially if the pool was empty for a while.
I agree with post above that you need to check your track and the position of all the uprights. Not finding and correcting the root cause can cause damage to your wall, and perhaps could be a safety hazard.
