    Greenish Crystals in Pool

No. It's clumped together because it's wet. It's not slimy. I've also found this stuff in the skimmer net.

    Greenish Crystals in Pool

Here are some pictures. It sort of looks like undissolved salt, but I can't imagine why that would be the case. I'm going to have Leslies run a test this weekend.

    Greenish Crystals in Pool

I have and they came back. They are also in the pool skimmer net. It looks sort of like pool salt, but I can't imagine that the salt would be reforming.

    Greenish Crystals in Pool

I have a SWG and recently noticed some greensih salt crystals forming in one corner of the pool with some silt. Any idea what could be causing this? My Salt reading is also lower that it has been over the past months.

    Salt Level Keeps Dropping

Both were low. I used a test strip a few weeks ago and it showed salt levels about 300 ppm higher than the SWG. However, the chlorine levels improved when I added more salt. I have an auto fill. How do I turn it off?

    Salt Level Keeps Dropping

According to my SWG, the salt level in my pool is dropping about 200 to 300 ppm each month. The pool isn't used very often. I assume this can mean 1 of 2 things. First, the cell itself is getting near the end of its life. Second, the pool has a leak somewhere. The fact that my cell is less...

    Mustard Algae Question

It coats everything along the bottom, but not the sides. Does that argue in favor of algae?

    Mustard Algae Question

One more question. How do I get rid of it? I have a cartridge filter and my cartridges are shot. I'm putting in new filters this week. Do I just run the filters? Or do I need to pay someone to come vacuum the pool?

    Mustard Algae Question

I've read that mustard algae tends to grow on walls and in the darker spots in the pool. I'm trying to figure out if I have an algae problem or just dirt. I live next to a golf course (in California) and the grass and trees are all blooming, so it could be pollen. Basically, the entire floor...
