    D.C. Voltage.

I tested the pool this morning with a different volt meter and a analog tester and there is no voltage.Must have been a faulty meter.I had the pool completely retired after I bought the house by a journeyman Electriction and never an issue since.I just check it sometimes I guess for safety...

    D.C. Voltage.

I periodically check my pool for stray voltage just as a precaution.I accidentally had my meter on D.C. And noticed 25v DC with one probe in the water on the other on the painted deck.No AC voltage.Maybe it's always been there. Thanks Tom

    Hayward swg dead

Thank you,I did as you said and all is up and running as it should. There has to be a reason that fuse blew.I am quite mechanically inclined.I replaced the thermistor a few years ago and it is solid. Tom

I have a inground pool that came with the house I bought 3 years ago.It has a 110 volt pump hard wired to a weather proof timer and to circuit panel. It is on a 30 amp gfi breaker.I think during a storm it is tripping.I replaced that gfi when I bought the house.Do I really need a gfi if the pump...

    D.C. Voltage

I bought the house and upon inspection there was about 8 volts A/C current in one corner of the pool and wet deck.A bonding wire was broken and repaired.I periodically check the pool because of that and I accidentally had my meter on D.C. Volts.I'm thinking of buying that yellow thing that you...

    What's causing this voltage

Let me say again I bought this home a year ago,the pool is ten years old,no one has ever been injured. It is a tingle not a shock although I am aware it is electricity.several electricians have troubleshooted this issue over the years they must not know what bonding is.I talked to an electrician...

    What's causing this voltage

That would require a lot of cutting of concrete. Its a 18x36 pool with a ladder, diving board, wide fiberglass steps coming out at shallow end, with a hand rail.Concrete decking is quite large. Tom

    What's causing this voltage

I am well aware what your saying, but I'm looking at how to fix it without tearing up the concrete deck.If that's the case may as well demolish the complete pool.I am curious to know why the .03 reading when pump is off but .08 reading when pump is on. Thanks,Tom
