    1-1/2” PVC to 3/4” conduit | 320 color logic

I’m trying to find out how to convert from the 1-1/2” PVC housing to the 3/4” conduit. All I can find is a 1-1/2” PVC coupling and a 1-1/2” to 3/4” female adaptor to a 3/4” conduit threaded adaptor. see below. Inspector wants one fitting from the PCV pipe to the 3/4” threaded adaptor. I’ve...

Outdoor shower - Require drain to sewer line?

I'm in the process of putting in an outdoor bathroom (before I start my pool build next month) and on the outside of the Pool house/Bathroom I'm going to install a shower head to rinse off. I have the Pool house connected to the sewer line but when the inspector came out. I was told I need a...

Plumbing 2 inlets on 1 run

I'm installing this pool below this spring. I will have 3 main return lines all three on separate runs from the pool equipment pad, and wanted to add an extra 4 inlets on the tanning ledge just to help blow debris off the ledge. My plan for the 4 tanning ledge returns was to run 2 extra lines...

    Water bonding.

I'm starting my in-ground pool (a DIY) at the end of next month, and I'm working with my inspector now, on water bonding. He wants me to use the in skimmer bonding plate that you have to drill thru the skimmer. I look at this being an issue where it could possibly leak down the road with this...

Do you have to use a Jbox on 12Volt LED

Do I have to use a Jbox when hooking up my 12 volt light or can I run it to the transform direct? I actually would like to use a weather prove 1 Gang empty box with cover. Height, and distance all meet my local code, just not sure if that Jbox is required or not.

    New build pump pad

I will be installing a pool this spring, and I have looked over a ton of different setups. On paper I have put something together like this picture below. 3 - Input - 2" 4- output - 1-1/2" All sweep 90's. My thought instead of using 2 90's going to the heater, there I would use to 45's since...

Lighting how many and which ones?

I will be installing this pool in the spring 20x40. How may lights should I have, and would you do the nicheless or ones that require a niche? I'm torn on doing two of the big colorlogics on the top side of the picture below or 1 big colorlogic at the deep end and 2 of the nichless 320...

18,000 gallons on a DIY build.

I have everything picked out for the pool build in late spring except for the pump. It’s going to be a 20x40 Mountain Loch style from an online supplier with a 10’ tanning ledge, 42” to 57” deep. 2 skimmers, 2 main drains, 3 returns (may add 2 more to push water across tanning ledge to...

    Which LED light how many

I will be installing a 20x40’ Mountain Loch (like a kidney with an extra pump out) vinyl In-ground pool next spring. Will 1 light be enough, will 2 be too much? Looking at either the 12 volt Pentair or Hayward. Color changing on one transformer. Should I be looking at a different light style...

3 (1.5”) pvc pipes going into 1 (2”) pvc pipe

If I have 3 drain (2 skimmers, and main drains) lines that are 1-1/2” running to the equipment pad and converted all 3 of them to 2” pipe a few feet before the pool pad (underground) and went into the pump with a 2” will I have issues? 1 foot of 1-1/2” pipe has a volume of .0918 x 3 pipes is...
