How to sink AGP and build deck in 30 days

The start of the 2ft retaining wall. The wall is only 2ft because if the pool fails for some reason I will only have to deal with a small amount of dirt that may fall in. Going up 3 feet will cause an issue with water runoff whenever we get rain (which is few and far between ?)

How to sink AGP and build deck in 30 days

Everything has been dug out except for the area the pumps are going to go. Since the pumps have to be below the waterline I am going to have to sink them roughly 1 foot in the ground. Anyway, using a line level, 4x4 with a 2x4 attachment and a level we have leveled the 19ft circle for the pool...

How to sink AGP and build deck in 30 days

So after much research if this could be done with a soft sided pool I started to get my plan together. Since I am a frugal person and a big DIY guy I set our budget at $2000 with a $1000 "Oh Crud" cushion because any type of construction project will have "Oh Craps" no matter how good the plans...

How to sink AGP and build deck in 30 days

The back story: In May 2016 we bought a Bestway 16'x42" above ground pool. We live in the central valley of California and our soil is called Sandylome. It just means we have a lot of sand in the soil. This can be a good thing and bad. But I digress. We put the pool up after leveling the ground...

Start OCLT readings: FC 16 CC 0 CYA 50 (Doing it the way you explained. I was doing it at chest level. After swimming today I had a little stronger than faint chlorine smell of chlorine but nothing like some pools I have been in. Wish me luck.

Intex 20'x52" Ultra Frame with dual suction/strainer holes (and one return hole)

Re: Intex 20'x52" Ultra Frame with dual suction/strainer holes (and one return hole) I may be missing something here but are you saying that the 2 suction fittings that go through the pool wall are not threaded to hold them in place? If it is an Intex it should only have 2 holes one for supply...

Came home late for lunch and was only able to vacuum the pool but low and behold I could totally see the bottom of the pool. I actually have "clear water". Still some work to be done and won't have the test kit till later this evening. But things are looking up

Thanks needsajet! My neighbors has cases of reagents for the test kit. He was paying a pool maintenance company to take care of his pool but got wise and told them to pack sand after he had to drain his in-ground pool twice in 2 years because it would not hold chlorine anymore. He got his test...

Good Day pool experienced people. Newbie here trying to get my family swimming in our new 16' above ground pool. We set it up on June 11, 2016 and the water from the city line was "TERRIBLE!" Basically, the pool was greenish-brown by the time I could turn the pump on. Anyway, I borrowed my...
