My 10 year old gunite 30k freeform pool has developed several broken/loose coping. Even the ones not broken seems a bit hollow so I am think the entire coping may need to be replaced. Matching the coping isn't a concern unless the broken ones can be replaced if an expert says the other are fine...

The breaker was loose on one end, this may have contributed to the shuting down.

Hayward TriStar VS variable speed pump. Update: My one breaker was unclipped on outer edge. I think this was causing the issue of the pump surge. I reinstalled the breaker properly but still looking to get surge protection. thanks for the input

Hayward one. Funny thing is it worked yesterday for 20 min. Ill try again today for a longer period to see if it works now. Im thinking it might be another issue, possibly c board if it continues.

Ok thermistor replaced, worked for 15 min following repair. Just fired up spa for daughter and friend to use and heater is back to not working condition showing the SF code error. Is there another piece to replace that would cause this? thx for any input.

I have used a polaris 380 with booster for about 10 years and I love it, no complaints and pool is spotless. 2 hours per day on timer.

Oh i think that may be an issue. I'll reach out to Hayward and see if i can somehow toggle from high to low in a default setting. Wgo knows maybe i don't need to use below 1500 rpm but thats why people vuy these right? A low speed 2 speed woyld be at 1725 rpm.

Not sure how to answer that. I am entering percentages to set my schedule. The aqualogic lets me enter a percentage which i assume is of max rpm or 3450 rpm.

Is there anything i can do to override this issue. Seems pointless to have a vs pump that can only be operated at 40% +...kind of defeats the purpose.

I can't seem to reduce the speed in the setting area below 40%. It adjusts up from 40 but not below. Is there another area i can make that adjustment from. I am using the wireless remote.

Ok, new tristar SP3202VSP hooked up and operational. Guy from pool company set it at 65% from 6 to 9am for polaris with booster, 55% from 9am to 3pm and 44% from 3pm to 6pm, off 6pm to 6am. Full speed is 3450 rpm. Does this setup sound ok to those with experience? Does anything seem wrong? I do...

I had the same issue two years in a row after the pool co opened the pool for the season. It was a valve spun the wrong way and only required a 1/4 turn the the proper direction.

Thank you, I do have a booster pump for the Polaris but in the past I always had the 2 sp pump on high during the robot cycle.

IMO it's still a immature pool company to give that advice. Any "respectable" company should provide facts and options and price accordingly if it involves more work at set up and/or installation.VS pumps are here to stay and no doubt will phase out single speed pumps in the near future. Prices...
