Hayward vs with aqualogic PS8 issue

I can't seem to reduce the speed in the setting area below 40%. It adjusts up from 40 but not below. Is there another area i can make that adjustment from. I am using the wireless remote.

For some reason, Hayward seems to put arbitrary restrictions on those settings. The automation is very limited as far as giving you much control.

Is there anything i can do to override this issue. Seems pointless to have a vs pump that can only be operated at 40% +...kind of defeats the purpose.

Are you setting high speed or low speed?

What software revision do you have?

Not sure how to answer that. I am entering percentages to set my schedule. The aqualogic lets me enter a percentage which i assume is of max rpm or 3450 rpm.

I think that it allows a high speed setting and a low speed setting.

I think that the high speed setting can't go below 40 or 50 %.

I think that the low speed setting can go down to 20%

It changes depending on the software revision.

In any case, it's very limited and does not give you much control for "automation".

Oh i think that may be an issue. I'll reach out to Hayward and see if i can somehow toggle from high to low in a default setting. Wgo knows maybe i don't need to use below 1500 rpm but thats why people vuy these right? A low speed 2 speed woyld be at 1725 rpm.
