Where can I get the muriatic acid at? And was it 6% chlorine (laundry bleach is the same right?) that you're supposed to use? And when you say maintain at SLAM level every couple hours......until what??? Until CYA is right or until what?

Update of all tests after after refill FC 1 CC .5 PH 7.8 TA 200 CH 210 CYA 60 Alot better than before. So I need to bring my ph down (using what?) and then do the SLAM process right? Anything else?

UPDATE on CYA after refill....I did probably a 50-60% refill and just checked the CYA the normal way (not diluted) and it now reads 60. If I understand correctly that's still high but way better than 130 to 150 right? But I got to wondering should I have let the water circulate for awhile...

In the process of draining my pool and the hose method is taking forever lol. My boyfriend and I have a bet and I wanted to see if someone could tell me if I'm gonna win or not lol He's not much into the pool and says he doesn't understand why you have to worry so much about balancing the water...

I have an above ground vinyl pool. It's either a 15X42 or a 16X42 and I'm new to the whole testing thing...got good kit, did first test Sunday and CYA was above 100...but thinking I did it wrong (wasn't in the sunlight and my eye sight is horrible) so I've been waiting for the rain to go away...

Okay well since my outside lighting was not good the day I die this test I am going to try to do it again on Thursday (supposed to rain all day tomorrow ugh) and see what I get. I think it will be a better reading. Hopefully alot better. Will let you know. Thanks.
