You really have to drain the pool to get the CYA down. Try draining 50% then refill and retest CYA. You may still need to drain more. There's plenty of swim days left. Check out post #2 in this thread CYA test confusion for how to test CYA.

I wouldn't think sulfates from dry acid would help with skin problems either. How about adding boric acid once the TA is dialed in?

Yeah that's a scam. Most people will never notice and they get away with charging the same or more for less chlorine. Shame on Costco and others for accepting that nonsense.

If it's MPS (potassium monopersulfate) this will read as CC but as far as I know it won't impact FC. MPS isn't a sanitizer in pools so make sure to use chlorine. Chemistry of Chloramines - indoor commercial pool
