Make sure the upright is not installed upside down, and check that all the uprights are the same length. Also check for level across the top of the pool.

There is also no reason to have the flex coming out of the heater connect to ridged PVC 2 feet off the ground! Back the filter up 3-6" to give a little more clearance between the house and the filter then replumb everything with ridged PVC.

If you plug the return and the pool holds water then you can leave it plugged until you decide what to do with it.
