909, Not how it works.. To pull water from the skimmer, the pump creates a suction.. This suction has no way to get to the main drain pipe.... Unless there is a floating diverter below the skimmer basket.. I have had zero luck with getting floating diverters to work for more than a few...

PS, My 'guess' is that is where your broken SS pump is getting its water. In this pics you can see the pipes going to the bubblers.. There are 4 pipes, so either you have 4 bubblers, or one pipe goes to something else. You can see the PVC ball valves, mostly set to off.. I assume they are...

PS, I had the waterfall and pool returns backwards.. I used common sense, which the guy who plumbed your system, apparently does not have... :mrgreen: You really should never shut off your pool returns.. I have no clue what the B valve does, and we won't know until you get the pump on the...

PS, I want you to run some tests... using this pic.. 1. Set valve 'A' so that the handle points 180 degrees from where it is in the above pic.. (Handle points to the right) a. I suspect that this will shut off your waterfall and send all the water back to your pool returns...

div, As Allen points out above... your pool builder is an idiot... A 3 HP single speed pump would be too large for your pool.. But a 3 HP VS pump is perfect.. The whole idea of having a VS pump is to run it as slow as you can, and still get the job done.. The larger the pump, the slower it...

Harold, If the waterfall pump is being controlled by the RS-485 com port, and you have a speed set for "Spillway" then I would expect the waterfall pump to run... anytime you are in the Spillway mode.. You can't have two different functions with the same Circuit Name.. Maybe I just don't...

Shades, Tell us more.. Do you have an external Power Center, or is the power Center built-in to an EasyTouch or IntelliCenter??? Basically, there is a SWCG transformer that converts your High Voltage AC into about 24 Volts AC.. This then goes to the Surge card which changes the 24 Volts AC...

Ed, Your pump's speed is controlled by whatever 'circuit" or circuits are on... My guess is you have a speed assigned for Pool Circuit... On the same page, you just select heater.. When the heater asks for heat, the pump will speed up to whatever speed you assign. Do you have ScreenLogic...
