Help Please - Aux Relays Not Working

Good evening, first post here but have leveraged this forum for how to help for some time now.

On Sunday had my Spa on with Jets (booster pump), blower (aux 3) and heater. Attempted to turn on pool and spa lights (aux 1 and aux 2). Lights did not come on. Reset GFI which normally fixes and it was tripped. Did not fix lights.

When I returned to spa water coming out was now cold and blower shut off.

Heater, Blower and both lights now not working. Both main pump and booster pump for jets working fine.

Pentair Easy Touch automation. Did reset switch then reset all main high voltage breakers including in house. Lights above all relays light up but you do not hear the “clunking” noise when aux relay button pushed no matter which relay I press (1-7). I am only using relays 1-3.

Replaced the two din dip switch chips and that did not improve anything.

Could transformer be bad?

None of the small 12v breakers on top right are tripped.

Please help as I need to get things back working.

A picture behind the deadfront panel where the breakers are located, will help us.

Is you pump wired to a relay? Or direct to breaker? Single SPD or VS?

Is your heater wired to the same relay as your pump? Is it on a relay at all?

Have you confirmed voltage on the Line side of the relay for your blower and lights? For the filter pump if on a relay?

I suspect your filter pump is direct to breaker, and all else are through relays. We need to confirm if you have voltage on the line terminals. Methods differ depending on 120v vs 240 items. We can guide you once we have a picture of your wiring.

The lack of a 'click' suggests the relays are not closing. Multiple relay failures are unlikely. We'll get suspicious of the board if we can confirm voltage on line side of all relays.
 
Relays not working can be caused by blown relay driver chips. In the EasyTouch they are socketed, inexpensive, and replaceable.

Using a voltmeter can let you confirm if you are getting voltage to close a relay.

@bradgray the Pump is direct wired not on a relay. Pump is VS. Pump working fine and booster pump for spa jets working fine too.

I can get pictures after work today of the rear of the board / wiring for sure.

I do have a voltmeter would just need some guidance on where I am testing.

@Jimrahbe yes I have a voltmeter would just need a little guidance on where and what o am testing.

Trying to post a pic of the LCD front panel but having issue that the file is too big working on figuring that out.

LCD reads Auto and Pool no error messages and is running the program as normal.

What are these??

Let's just troubleshoot one problem.. your lights not working..

The first test I need you to do is to check the input (Line) voltage coming into your lights relays Aux 1 and Aux

1. Remove the cover over the circuit breaker area.

Edit... the relay in the upper left is normally the Pump/Filter relay, the next relay to the right is Aux1, then Aux2, etc..

2. Find Aux 1 and Aux 2
3. Measure the Line-in side of the relays and confirm that you have about 120 Volts AC on both relays. From left to right the pins are Line1, Load1, Line2, and Load2... Measure between Line1 and ground and if used Line2 and ground.. Record your readings.
4. Turn on the lights..
5. Measure between Load1 and ground and if used Load2 and ground and tell us what you get. In theory, you should have the same 120 volts AC.

Let us know how that goes.

Show us a pic of your panel so we can see all the relays and breakers.

Thanks @Jimrahbe for the detailed step by step guide I appreciate it.

Checked voltages of all three relays all have 120v at the line side. Flipped all three on one by one and tested the load side all of which have no voltage showing (0.11 or so).

Aux 1 is pool lights
Aux 2 is spa lights
Aux 3 is blower for spa

4 other relays have nothing coming in and no power to them from the breakers.

The “dip switches” I was referring to are the two ULN2803 relay driver Chips on the main board. They were $7 on Amazon for 10 of them and same night I had the issue there was lightning in the distance and some neighbors were talking about power surges. I took a shot here I know.

Here is a picture of inside my panel as well. Bunch of ants in there but do not see any frayed wires or burn marks on anything.

Check if you have 24V DC on the upper screws of the relay that connect to the AUX sockets when a circuit is ON.
