Crack on back of Skimmer …Leak

Winter weather caused me to turn off autofill..noticed a decent water level drop..did bucket test to confirm. Been loosing 1/4-1/2” daily. Notified PB, he came to look, in the meantime I got some dye and tested around, landing on the skimmer. PB got a leak company to test everything just to be sure. They again confirmed it was the skimmer. PB guys came to regrout skimmer in, and I pointed out the crack..worker agreed that was likely the source and would be coming back to address it.

Question is has anyone seen this before and what options are there?
It seems the skimmer is cracked open at a seam, with gunite, or player forced through?

Chip it out ? Some type of plastic bond?

Other skimmer is normal..seam is flush and flat.

Lower the water level, use Plast-aid to seal the leak.

I have not tried "Plast-Aid", but poolman is usually right on..

I have used "Leakmaster quick set putty" and it seems to work ok.. I generally have to replace it two or three years later..

Edit... Thanks for the extra pics, it makes it much clearer where the problem is located..

I used Plast-aid to fix a skimmer crack...
