I have a very old 3/4 hp pump and a Hayward S200 sand filter on my 18x36 in ground vinyl lined pool(approximately 27000gallons). There is one intake about 18’ from the pool to the pump (above waterline), and then two outlets. All are 1 1/2” pvc. There is no heater, water feature or any other attachments other than a salt cell. My pump motor is starting to go and needs to be replaced. I want to replace the pump, but don’t have a clue what to get. HELP!

You can get a local pool repair person to replace just the motor, or you can just replace the entire pump. That looks like an old Sta-Rite Dura Glass pump, which are no longer available but their successor company, Pentair, has plenty of pumps that will work. If the system has worked fine all these years, then replacing it with the same HP pump should work. Alternatively, you can replace it with a larger VS pump and run it at a lower speed for greater efficiency (and lower running costs).
